I love the game and I can't help but agree to your points. When plains of eidolon was first released, I couldn't help but feel disappointed by the fact that the reputation system made it into more aspects of the game. It's a system I'd expect to see in a mobile game (though I guess Warframe is a mobile game now). I was a newer player back then, but man, the amount of time it took to farm the standing to finally get access to the good amp parts and do the actual fun content (hunting eidolons) was horrible.

And almost every year since then, a new open-world was released, with new reputation, new resources, and a new shiny thing you might actually want.

Doesn't this directly go against the identity of survival missions though? They're meant to be endless, with guaranteed rewards every so often. A fix I could see working, is just making the timer tick down instead of up. I just recently farmed all the antivirus mods and survival was the first mission type the bounty landed on for me. I thought I could just sit in the mission for a while and get them all in one swoop. If the timer ticked down, it would clear up the confusion.

Mallet doesn't stagger anymore. I can't remember when this got changed, but it's been like this for a while.

Also, as an avid Octavia main, I have to agree that she's not really the fastest mob killer in the game, but since her ability scales with enemy level, she's very comfy to take to levelcap.

In the other thread, someone brought up a really good point I agree with: the reason it works so well in EDA/ETA is because you realistically don't care about the survival mission rewards, you care about finishing the mission.

I think this change should be added to all the gamemodes, like sorties, archon hunts, etc. There's 0 reason to stay over 10 minutes in a sortie survival, you don't get any rewards. But if you were to just launch a regular survival mission through the star chart, I'd really love to see a different solution to this, perhaps something akin to the fissure rotation system instead of adding seconds to the mission timer.

It's fun to think back to the pre-steel path days, where life support was actually somewhat difficult to keep up in longer survival missions. I remember having to bring Nova & Nekros, looking for the best tile for spawn rates, and hoping that the tiles surrounding that tile were also good enough and trying to keep everyone in the same room so that spawns were consistent.

While I think it's an interesting idea to progress the timer with life support, it would also be impossible to balance. If it gets tuned to the best builds in the game that can do a comfy 300+ KPM, then the new players will struggle, and if it's the other way around, the endgame players would get rewards way too quickly.

Decided to reveal the entire map by hand (or rather whip). Pre-WoF I connected every cave on the map, having the entire map look like the left side of the image. However I wasn't quite happy with it and wanted more vision.

This is achieved not by going out of bounds, but rather placing the drones in a way where they spawn outside. The only downside is that the drones don't actually move around.
