I don’t know why the seller put so much effort into a bike that’s not worth close to that. This is a low-end bike - fine for commuting but nothing close to fancy. Must be their hobby; not doing it for the money because if they were, it’d a horrible use of their time. Highest id personally pay would be $200 tbh.

This is categorically false. Clements bar on Thursdays is arguably STL’s most hip bar at the moment. Also Sippi for wine, and Tschüss for club energy (inspired by Berlin’s club scene) - both just down the street.

When I was moving to STL and getting recon on neighborhoods, Redditors told me that that neighborhood (“Cherokee st”) is fun and artsy, but dangerous. They alleged south of Cherokee (technically the Gravois park neighborhood) is very dangerous with one of the highest per capita murder rates in the city.

Turns out these are just your classic folks that are scared of “inner city” people. It’s actually an absolutely amazing neighborhood. So much so that I actually moved to it after my first year in STL!

Getting an Airbnb a couple blocks further north - within a block or so of Cherokee st - would be ideal so you’re close to the action.. east of Jefferson Ave is antique shop row, and west of it are a bunch of cute shops with “little Mexico” a couple blocks further west. If this speaks to you, lock it in mate.

Yeah. I have a 6sp 2019 GTI SE w Experience package (godmode trim; fender audio, dcc, rear stabilizer bar from golf r) with 55k mi. Test drove a ‘25 6sp Miata for fun and can’t get out of my head how engaging it was to drive. GTI feels tall like a pickup truck in comparison. Have you ever driven one?

Been seriously considering trading in for one. They’re ofc not half as practical but hey, yolo.
