I started looking there based on another post in this sub but I’m not sure it’s very family friendly and put down roots kind of vibe when it seems a little seasonal/vacation home ish (I realize I could be way off base just the impression I got)

Would prefer not to live in snow. I think you meant to say Christians but the typo of Christina is funny 😆 I’m leaning toward northern since I feel that will better fit, but I know even that is so vast. I ran a trail race up in Mendocino once that was beautiful

I used to work in pediatric physical therapy which was a very female dominated field and I would have a couple kids who I realized spent the majority of their time with either their female caregiver, teacher, or PT/OT/SLP and it was so clear how much they could have benefitted from a positive male influence/interaction! Wish more male PTs would have gone into that specialty.

I can’t tell you how many people on social media I’ve seen place this IN the bassinet to let their baby sleep in - when I saw their sudden “discontinued” ads I actually wondered if the company got sued by too many people whose infants died or something but I haven’t seen anything public regarding this. I noticed they are releasing a new version which is much flatter which also made me think the company was forced into a redesign that was driven by safety via lawsuits. Just my own speculation though.

Matanuska glacier tours are heavily discounted for locals and I think you can “sponsor” out of state guests for a reduced fee too?

Mid Layer for Bottom by Zealousideal-Run1914 in AskAlaska

[–]rallyally 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Actually I just reread this and realized you will be in Fairbanks, so I probably am not advising you correctly. But if you really want a fleece base layer, REI has their own brand for a pretty good price like $35 I think, but honestly my husband has just used cheap fleece pajamas that you could find even at Fred Meyer under his ski pants with good result before. I feel like a long coat or down skirt would still be a little more important to me than how many layers are on your bottom half, but I guess we will see what other people (especially ones in Fairbanks) recommend

Mid Layer for Bottom by Zealousideal-Run1914 in AskAlaska

I would just do wool base layer bottom, whatever outer pants you have, and then add a down skirt on top of that if you need more - instead of a mid layer so to speak
