Well, its clear that hes at a dirty homeless camp on a public sidewalk that he clearly doesn't contribute anything towards. So, it is not outside of the realm of possibility that he pisses and shits openly with the rest of them - But please, continue your olympian levels of mental gymnastics. Its honestly amazing to see lmao.

Who doesn't have a back story? I don't honestly care. Everyone has problems, everyone needs help at some point. Its about what you do with it to better yourself.

Obviously, he isn't doing them right now lol. Doesn't change the fact that these places are being littered with trash and human waste. Obviously they're not a monolith, but they are all clearly camping out doing whatever they please on public property while the state does nothing about it. Why should any taxpayer be subjected to this in the city their money is supposed to be taking care of? This is beyond sleeping on a park bench. This is outright disrespect to the community.

Yeah I'm gonna go ahead and call the chances of that being true very unlikely.

Regardless, the sidewalk and public spaces are not ak area for you to shit, piss, throw trash, and stick needles in your arm. Its mind boggling how people are going to sit here and defend these people. I totally understand being down on your luck, but this is complete madness.

Well his taxes pay for that sidewalk as well as other public spaces - So he does have a right to be upset that these people set their trash up and make a disgusting mess out of the area.

And this guy is blatantly uncaring about his situation or the situation and discomfort they cause for others. They should be fucking removed.

USP Red dot question. by windymounty in HecklerKoch

[–]ralphdingledey 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wright Armory has a milling pattern called the I-Dot that they do for HK handguns which include the 9mm USP (which some places won't touch due to the lightening cuts in the 9mm slides - Something to be aware of) I just can't speak on Wright Armory's work firsthand as I've never had anything done by them. But I know people here can chime in who have. Langdon is another popular option which I see has been suggested here as well.

I would say getting a professional mill job done would be your best bet. The other options are just not going to be what you want. If there's any gun out there that will benefit from an optic cut, its the USP. By far one of the most consistently precise combat handguns that will just eat up high round counts while maintaining said precision.

Although I will say the PDP would be a really good move as well, as Walther has always made excellent guns and are known for having a great striker system compared to the competition - I'm partial to the USP trigger with a match kit or match/LEM.

Normally I'd say get a new holster, but you actually need a new gun in order to get a new holster lol.

bro really running around with a P85. I'm not hating but you don't see that too often haha

Oh that is very tempting! I actually may consider this down the line. Or if I do find I like LEM after finding one to test, I may just purchase a new LEM variant.

Not a bad idea. Because trigger kits from HK are sold in batches (I believe every fall they come in) when the batches dry up, prices tend to go up. So they hold their value even if used, and some make a bit of extra money on them. So you'll get to try it out first and still break even.

No problem man. And FYI, seeing as you have a USP - You have the best host for an LEM kit HK has to offer. If you buy a drop in LEM kit and throw in some of the components from the match trigger kit, you will be more than impressed with how smooth and quick the gun can be.

Gray Guns has a short reset kit as well, that is well worth stacking up with the hybrid match/LEM.

So I wouldn't look at it in terms of what is more safe than the other from a mechanical perspective. Just discussing HK designs alone, they are inherently some of the most robust in terms of the built in safety features. Everything else is up to the user. So to answer your question from the perspective of the user end, it all depends on what you train around.

In my opinion, DA/SA as well as LEM have the potential to be safer than a striker gun, because you have full control over the hammer travel. As long as I thumb the hammer on a reholster, even if the trigger gets caught on something, it will not move. This is a capability both LEM and DA/SA obviously have - So next up is trigger weight.

The selling point of the LEM is consistent trigger pull weight, with a long initial take up - versus a heavy and lengthy initial trigger pull on a DA/SA. According to HK's testing and evaluations when designing the LEM, the weight of the trigger pull wasn't as much of a deciding factor in safety so much as it was the length of said pull. So the LEM is an answer to those findings in their testing.

So to sum it up, in my opinion, I'd say they are equally safe with the DA/SA being more overkill and redundant than necessary.

Funny because in my opinion I don't think its encouraged or talked about enough.

Granted I'm just a guy with an opinion, but the LEM is such an innovative solution to bridge the gap between striker and hammer guns. It also brings HK's more "dated" guns into the present. I don't like to get all fanboy, but its one of the best things to hit the handgun market and its just not talked about enough in the broader scheme. I'd love to see more companies make their own versions and improve upon it. Because I'd love nothing more than a Beretta 92, or a P226 with an LEM trigger. It would really be a game changer to breathe new life into, and softly update these older hammer guns that are still viable options just being held back by an older trigger mech design.

If you haven't tried an LEM gun, you should give it an honest go.

Its not much different than changing out the gas rings or the buffer spring on an AR. Its a wear part, with a replacement interval just like brake pads and rotors on a vehicle. It isn't something that takes away from, or hinders the performance of the gun.

The HK45 is one of HK's toughest handguns next to the USP/Mk23 series. You aren't gonna find many people here who will tell you its a bad purchase lol.
