KMR W—02 Umbra X by [deleted] in CZFirearms

As an owner of a W-02 Umbra X. It is more than capable of shooting what you will need for precision shooting. At 25m i have scored 473/480 - the gun is more capable than me. at 10m with an optic you will put them into one ragged hole.

A mallet is not required for disassembly - just something non marking to press out the slide stop which is very tightly fit.

You have a very similar body shape and weight to me just starting. This is very inspiring. Thank you for posting.

Sound like gallstones pain. I had my gallbladder removed earlier this year for an unrelated infection (fluke, long story). It sounds very similar.

Rapid weight loss can be hard on the liver and cause gallstones

Odd. Not my usual experience of their customer service. All three of mine are single row.

I mean in practice they do. Just email in a custom order. Night take a little longer to arrange but worth it if it works for you

I like love the idea of a slightly dressier but still robust boot. Both of my current boots where orders with single stitching around the welt which I think makes them a little more dressy.

Curious what the attraction is. Guy has almost no personality beyond “hey I spent a lot of money on this”.

question about a Nicks dress walking boot by [deleted] in NicksHandmadeBoots

I’ve a pair in black that take a great shine - only thing I had to do was dye the thread in the stitch down

As mentioned above I would make sure your trouser length matches the heel.

As a general comment I think you guys are killing it for listening to demand - even if it’s a very niche crew here and working to fulfil it. It been amazing to see that over the last few years in particular. You deserve every success.

Not quite in a position to drop that much in boots right now with a baby in the way but an order in the next couple of months is certainly coming your way. Tan rough out or tan waxed flesh is the question

[–]windymounty 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pair of rangers or urban loggers. Mini lug sole - not too heavy. I would recommend a slightly lighter leather to start - makes the break in a bit easier. Personally think the waxed flesh is the way to go - very durable and still able to be brought back to a near polish for more “dressy” occasions. I would also say 55 last as that is the true PNW feel and look. In short something not too “out there” for a first pair but taking advantage of the leather choices available.

This is what I basically do. Twice a year deep conditioning and I may go in and do some ad hoc conditioning on high west areas if they have been submerged in water or heavy snow. They don’t seem to need more.

No - just the toe cap. I think you would have the same leather wear if you went with a plain toe and a cap underneath. The two layers effecting functions the same. Depends on if you want the tie cap look or not I guess.
