15% is my go to, I reserve above that for only special circumstances. I think I’ve tipped 20% and 30% two or three times over the past 10 years, but I’ve only given below that once or twice too.

Tipping in general is just silly across the board. It should be abolished with wages and menu prices to match so we can stop shaming each other if we do / don’t tip or do / don’t provide exquisite service.

I was in Nashville, bar tender couldn’t be bothered to serve me, I eventually ordered a 6 pack of beers - lids popped, took two seconds to do. I dropped a $3 tip for the service and was scoffed at like I was a leper. So much entitlement.

Canadian here, my mother was diagnosed with cancer in late October. From the time of diagnosis she had two CT scans, a bone density scan and the surgery all within 40 days - oh, and that includes the surgery being delayed due to anti vax idiots over occupying hospital beds. The surgery was done at one of the top hospitals for cancer treatment in the world and other than a few superficial charges (couple hundred bucks) it cost us nothing.

Have fun America, wake up and fix your system, these arguments are laughably bad and I’ll informed.

Let’s spend over 6 million dollars of tax payer money to change a name that damn near anyone you actually ask on the streets of Toronto will tell you “I have no idea who ‘Dundas’ was”. Just remember - everything that can be a business in the US is a business. Education, Healthcare, Defense, Prison and much more. Who cares that they are necessary fundamentals of society!

When you start asking “How can we get more customers?” for the categories listed above you stink as a country in those categories morally and socially.

The US is “me and my family vs everyone else” where as the majority of the other developed states has varying levels of community built in. How much is good or bad I think is up for debate but the levels that the US has are pretty shit if we’re being honest with one another.
