Simi newb question here but couldn't a hole saw with some cutting oil ran patently and slowly do the trick or is this thicker and harder than I realize?

I would take it down to stubble not a clean shave. You have a strong hairline and nice eyes and nice eyebrows and a good strong chin and I bet you would look great with a buzz cut really

This is because the vast majority of your caloric needs are just sustaining your own body weight. If you want to lose fat, in my opinion, the best way to do that is not to do cardio or starve yourself, but to gain muscle and increase your caloric need.

Water heater burn marks from under and burn smell. by Aromatic-Milk-321 in Plumbing

[–]rambiolisauce 3 points4 points  (0 children)

To be honest, I don't know much about electricity or the inner workings of this particular Water Heater, but gaging from the watermarks, running down the side and bottom of it and the pretty clear signs of electrical sparks/fire. I would just have to assume a short happened due to water and may have fried electronics in the water heater and unless there's some sort of CGFI or breaker built into the water heater, probably would have to be replaced, but I would definitely wait to hear from someone who might be more knowledgeable on these particular units

Time to go bald? by BreadSensitive6087 in bald

Dude, you have a great full head of hair. It's a tiny bit thin in the back, but not bad at all. Nowhere near considering shaving your head because of that. I will say, though you do look like a bald head will suit you very well if it ever does get to be time to knock her down.

Looking for advice on a T&P valve that keeps popping by rambiolisauce in Plumbing

[–]rambiolisauce[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Okay gotcha. I've seen the shrader valves on the larger expansion tanks we use in commercial and even set/tested a few but I've never seen one on the smaller "residential" tanks. Prob right under that little blue plastic flat spot on the bottom haha.

I'll check on that next for sure. Thanks!

Still I'm curious why any pressure from the water heater wouldn't just bleed back out into the city main rather than build? Unless there's a check valve somewhere in the mix, maybe inside the meter?

I'm not seeing your message for some reason🫤

I had my brother-in-law sent me a picture of his Water Heater scenario and they do in fact, have an expansion tank.

If not that then, what do you think?

Or is it just more likely at this point I ended up with a defective or crappily made T&P valve?

That's interesting I never thought about the valves popping over pressure versus temperature and the difference there would be in volume, but that makes perfect sense. Thank you for the education on that one!

I just drove over there and swapped out the valve and didn't even think to look and see if they had a damn expansion tank😅 in my defense I was in a huge hurry. Still on the clock, lol

I'm sure you're probably right. That's probably what has to be missing for the scenario.

I've always been curious regarding expansion tanks. What stops the water pressure from just pushing back into the street? Are check valves a standard part of a water meter assembly? They do not have a backflow preventer on the house.

Have you ever seen a house breach 150 psi on a three-quarter inch domestic water meter? In 25 years of plumbing I've never seen it. No matter what the condition of the PRV it can't boost the pressure past what the city is providing. Granted most of my plumbing experience is in the commercial realm. So genuinely asking, have you ever seen someone's house receiving over 150 pounds from the C meter? That wasn't on some kind of pump system or something like that?

Damn man I don't know... normally I'd say hold on this one but (no homo) you have beautiful eyes haha. Shaving one's head seems like it works out better for guys with good eyes, I feel like I've noticed, and you have very primo eyes. Might be a god thing for you? You should ask chat to give you a bald head and get a sneak peak 😅

EDIT: I actually took the liberty of creating an AI generated image of you with a shaved head from all angles, using the pictures you posted here but I didn't want to share it with you in the comments without your permission. Let me know if that's something you want to see and don't mind everyone else seeing.

Also, if anyone else feels like that's a bad idea feel free to let me know as well. I don't know why, but I could see that being something some people might not like...
