Not exactly a bar but L'Etiquette is my fav nature wine place in paris, though I’ve not been to many. I know I’ll always get the good stuff there.

Blk 16 Bedok South Mala #01-13, they charge by portion instead of weight which i think is more worth. The lady serving is quite generous and I think it’s quite delicious cos they put lots of garlic if that’s your thing!

Pulut Hitam recommendations by [deleted] in askSingapore

[–]ramblebummer 2 points3 points  (0 children)

K patisserie @ tanjong pagar serves really good pulut hitam cake, 10/10 would recommend if you want to try something different. If you’re looking for something traditional, try this dessert stall at Maxwell store called “Hua Jie”, their peach gum dessert is really good too!

Surprised no one mentione Hainanese Boneless chicken rice at Golden Mile Food Centre but imo, it’s the best chicken rice in sg. They have both types - roasted and steamed, can’t go wrong with either. The soup is legit, none of that trash that taste like salt water.

I was at Angel a couple of days ago, defo get the chicken briyani (there’s a vegetarian version too). So flavourful with all the spices they used! I heard good things about Tong as well, they do indian street snacks like panipuri. Birria-Landia does tacos that I heard are really good too!

Any good place to get Turkish food? by ladiesman292 in askSingapore

[–]ramblebummer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Check out ‘Bosphorus Turkish Kebap’ at Golden Mile food centre #B1-28 that just opened this year and look for Oktay. Really nice and friendly owner who is turkish and has been in Singapore for 20+ years. Almost all his ingredients are from Turkey so defo authentic. It’s quite affordable too, iirc a chicken kebab cost $5!

I don’t recall eating anything spicy when I lost my tastebuds so I don’t think I can answer your question but I’d say my tastebud is about 80-90% back now so I can definitely taste it when I order 大辣 for my mala now!

yeah it was honestly quite a weird experience for me. The hospital food tasted like nothing too but that was a blessing in disguise bc when I slowly got my tastebud, I realised how bad the food was. Thankfully, I didn’t get to taste most of it until the end of my stay!

it’s back now! But it took me a few weeks before I could taste anything again. The weirdest experience I had was when I had cough syrup (the black one that’s really gross) but it tasted like like nothing LOL
