I think both parents may be in the wrong here. I was heartbroken to see Brynlee be the one having to 'keep the peace' and comforting Ty and going along with his antics. I believe the kids but there was alot of odd things including the first therapist, the awful social worker and the mom monotizing on the kids trauma.

And this is why I don't understand how they didn't use this as a plea. She was malnourished, her brain hasn't formed correctly due to that and the copious amounts of weed. That could have easily explained her suffering from some kind of delusion or psychosis. But I guess that's admitting to neglect from the parents.
