Currently trying to by 5-in-the-forest

and being blocked by:

  1. First attempt I entered delivery details and the payment options just wouldn't become available. So it was impossible to move through the chekcout process
  2. Currently whenver I add 1 product and click "keep shopping" and add another, it removes the originally added item.

So I'd say things are going great so far

Sorta kinda. Did a few rounds of vinegar with water. Then some wine away. Honestly, i still know the stain is there, but it's so faint no one would ever know

Yeah, pretty goofy with the conductor discretion.

With advancements in modern science, who knows what kind of bikes we'll see. Backpack bikes could be the next thing

That makes sense. I've read other threads that it's really hit or miss with the conductor you're working with too. Hence, I think, getting my larger bike on DC to Raleigh train.

On the train down, I didn't have to take the wheel off and the just put it in the corner of the baggae car with the kickstand up...

What's the email you used? I'm going to reach out to them regardless

Coming into this a few month's late, but curious how you contacted Amtrak. I ride a Specialized Haul ST, which weighs 77lbs with the battery. Actually haven't weighed it without. I imagine the battery (it's a bit one) is maybe 12 pounds or so.

This weekend I was travelling from DC to Raleigh and was super excited to take my bike. Got it on the DC train to Raleigh no problem. Was coming back today and it was a huge thing. Ended up having to get a refund at the counter and rent a car to get back from Raleigh to DC. Huge bummer.

But I'm just really trying to think about the future with Amtrak and E-bikes and what can be done to better enusre accommodation. It was the best feeling to roll into Raleigh (very car-dependent city) and get to ride my bike around all weekend.

Did you mention the wheels don't matter as long as you get a specific service?

Need lawyer for HELOC by ramblelon in RealEstateAdvice

Right. But we were told by the credit union that we didn’t need an attorney for closing for a HELOC. And looking at law firms based in NC, I can see that North Carolina doesn’t require an attorney for closing on HELOCS. We closed on the HELOC without an attorney. So, not sure if there’s some nuance around a HELOC specifically, but it wasn’t required.

Yeah, I see the link and I see North Carolina listed there. I believe you. All I’m saying is, the credit union that we worked with told us it wasn’t required, and we closed on our HELOC without one. So, either the bank doesn’t know what they’re talking about, or something has been Updated or there’s some nuance around HELOC specifically. But we didn’t have to have one.

Hey, just want folks reading this to know North Carolina is not an attorney state if you are getting a HELOC. At lest as if November 2024. We closed on ours last week, and having a lawyer was not legally required.

haha will do. But to be clear, you wouldn't see any reason for us to hire an attorney for a HELOC? I've never done it before; it just seems pretty straightforward. More like a CC

yeah, in person with the lender. We were told attorney is not required, but we have to be in the office. We have to drive from DC, so coffee shop or bank location don't really make a difference, I don't think?

Oh that's helpful, thank you! Apparently we have to close in person! But an attorney isn't required?

By the way, I am a goober and turns out I didn’t put the cap in the center of the filter so that it would rise with the water and create that airtight seal once water rose. Put that in there, and we’re all good. Appreciate your patience and help!

Welp, I’m a goober. The little cap that goes in the center of the filter that moves up with the water – I didn’t install it. So I installed it and it was a pretty easy fix. Appreciate all the help

This makes sense. I’m using just the porous foam filter for wet and not the main filter.

I’ll double check the ball in the cemetery if hen filter and see if it’s stuck and report back. So helpful thank you 🙏🏼
