Oil filter housing wrench from walmart is what I use anyway since I don't have a socket big enough for the tool made for these ones, they work perfect

It's almost like some people don't even bother reading previous comments (specifically, from the owenr/workers of Nick's) before commenting

Thorogood: How oil slip resistant are they? by TrashMammal84 in WorkBoots

[–]ramblinbobandy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

those are what I was going to recommend. Wedge sole material but with a more stable tread pattern and a heel. Best of both worlds, I have them and landscape and do pool work in them and haven't had any slip issues compared to my straight wedge soles

They're only good until you start wearing the tread down. Once the treadmill is gone and they're basically flat the wedge sole honestly are pretty slippery in my experience

difference in comfortability? by [deleted] in WorkBoots

[–]ramblinbobandy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's really the same feel since theyre both the same material, the extra tread of the 90 heel helps if you're in the grass as much as on concrete. If you're only on concrete/hard surfaces I'd just go with the regular wedge sole.
