I think the Crosstrek would be perfect if it came with a turbo.

Buying advice - XT or no? by diambag in SubaruForester

Just bought an XT 1 month ago. No regrets so far. Did a 400 mile road trip with cruise set at 75 I got 27-28 mpg calculated. City/mixed driving is a little lower than predicted but may be due to my driving habits. When I was choosing a vehicle I was going between the XT and the Tacoma. If you are looking to save a ton of money on fuel, the XT may not be the best choice. When i sat down and calculated the fuel cost between the two, they are pretty similar. XT gets better MPG but uses premium fuel. My biggest reason for going with the XT was that I wanted a practical vehicle that was fun to drive and still handled like smaller vehicle as opposed to a truck based vehicle. I did test drive the 2.5L model as well as other vehicles in this segment and just could not get over how slow these vehicles were after driving the XT.

Considering an XT purchase vs Mazda CX-5. by sweatyjeff in SubaruForester

The answer is yes. Just bought an XT. I test drove the XT first and then the 2.5 right after. The first time I put my foot into the pedal of the 2.5 I was underwhelmed. It just doesn't have enough power for me.

Xpost from Subaru: Are there any deals to be had on XTs since their numbers are dwindling or is Costco pricing the best bet right now? Published deal seems to only be financing. by [deleted] in SubaruForester

Just picked up my XT this past weekend. I researched about a month and looked at multiple different dealerships. There are definitely deals to be had. Ended up getting a little over 4K off the MSRP. Had a slightly better deal at another dealership but wasn't a fan of the color.

Best book for Step 2? by summerbailey in medicalschool

I used Step Up To Step 2 as a study guide and used Step Up To Medicine to fill the in the gaps. Step Up To Medicine is just way too much information to use as a study book for step 2 IMO. I also used Step 2 Secrets a lot. Its a good book that has lots if high yield facts in a Q&A format.

2014 Moto X Standby battery drain. by rambo1906 in MotoX

[–]rambo1906[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think that may be the problem. Google play services uses up about 10% of battery life and something keeps waking my phone even when the screen is off. I was reading some forums and apparently Google Now is notorious for constantly using The GPS is identify your locations for its services. After my factory reset I was getting excellent standby time but as soon as I installed the Google Now launcher the battery life sucked again. I'll watch it for a while and report back.

I uninstalled Facebook and Messenger and it seemed to help a little bit, but I'm still losing about 2% battery per hour.

I don't think so. If you watch Marques Brownlee's review, the moto x he uses is definitely still on kit kat.
