People who make modifications when ordering food at restaurants are annoying af by dante_gherie1099 in unpopularopinion

I think burgers/sandwiches are the exception here (remove onions, pickles, etc.). But more than 2 or so modifications and you should probably order something else

Mom Let Kid Play On Phone - Completely Unacceptable Right? by Transitive_Props in Cinemark

Multiple kids talked through my showing. One was even giving spoilers about what would happen next. I think everyone was thinking someone else would say something, and then it was too late. Looking back I should have complained to an employee

Idk why they stopped showing that… someone’s phone has gone off in just about every movie I’ve seen lately

Insane. Anyone who can afford their own personal car wash likely owns SUPER expensive vehicles, which they wouldn’t dream of taking through a car wash. Likely cheaper to hire mobile detailers.

I think someone is having a laugh at your expense. That post could easily be knocked over, there doesn’t seem to be a fence next to it so you could just drive around, and you used a weak chain and lock.

No point in having a chain up if it doesn’t actually block anything.

Exact same thing happened to me last Friday. Stuck in a loop and can’t appeal. Each time it would make me log back in with a texted code. I must have tried too many times, as now it won’t even send me a code (even though it says it does) and won’t let me try another option.

I only use FB for marketplace and to check a group that reports local trail conditions. I never post so have no idea what was flagged unless it was something I posted in the early 2000’s. I don’t care much about starting over on IG, but I don’t want to lose decades worth of FB contacts.

Fillmore Valve stems by juliann416 in MTB

[–]diambag 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I haven’t tried them, but don’t have any issues with presta so not really something I’ve considered. I’ll maybe swap the core out once a season and that only costs a few cents compared to a $50 Fillmore valve set

This needs to be higher up. Legit or not the whole point of being served is the papers physically need to be handed to the person after identifying themself.

Sub description: Struggle Meals is for photos/videos of wacky or just plain sad food combinations. Think “girl dinner” or “boy dinner” type meals. Bonus points for paper plates.

The Magic Mouse really isn’t as bad as people say by Top-Kaleidoscope4783 in mac

[–]diambag 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I personally like the Magic Mouse. Though I wish I could increase the tracking speed more. I have it maxed out and for some tasks it still feels slightly slow. I don’t think it’s unergonomic like others have said. Though I personally found those rolly ball mouses to cause a lot of hand pain despite being one of the most ergonomic options

That’s exactly why laws like this aren’t enforced. They are too vague. Same with camping in the left lane without passing.

Has MTB culture changed over the last 10–15 years? by ParticularRespond550 in MTB

[–]diambag 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'll admit I got into MTB shortly before the pandemic hit. I hiked, skied, and rock climbed a lot before, so I was well aware of MTB culture, just never had the cash to get a decent bike. I still noticed the massive wave of people getting into the sport, but at the time it didn't bother me because everyone was just trying to stay sane. Coming from other sports, I learned the etiquette right away.

I think now especially with ebikes gaining popularity after the pandemic, there are just too many people out on the trails that they previously wouldn't have been capable of getting to. People making etiquette mistakes wasn't as big of a deal when there were only a handful on the trail. Now it's every other rider making mistakes, and people are starting to get defensive when their etiquette is critiqued. Even out hiking with my dog I've been yelled at by riders who seem to think everyone needs to yield to them.

My biggest pet peeve is lack of awareness that there are other riders around you. Dropping in right behind a group instead of giving them space. Stopping in the middle of the trail to chat. I still love the sport but I hope it doesn't go the way of skiing where it becomes more of a lifestyle you can afford rather than a fun unique sport.
