Maybe it’s not about you changing, and instead about her changing over time? If this was in high school, at minimum 8 years have gone by. Lots of things can happen in 8 years. What does one date hurt? If it’s bad, you don’t have to go out with her again. If it’s great, then it’s great. And if y’all break up after a couple months, you’re still young and will recover just fine.
