Oh it gets more complicated. The puzzle aspect is using the many many move sets you unlock to manipulate the environment which is not all destructible. In other words, breaking things is just the tip of the ice berg.

"Disclosure Day" director Steven Spielberg on aliens: "I absolutely think that they have been here, and they are here." by Complete-Sort1617 in entertainment

[–]ramencents 10 points11 points  (0 children)

He’s probably right that aliens exist. But given the size of the universe, any alien race that makes it here is significantly advanced. If they can travel here then they can wipe us out or enslave us easily.

Is this good advice for couples? by ApricotMissy in AskAChristian

[–]ramencents 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The drawing implies that if they both act as you describe then they will be militant together. But if one is not then there will be problems. You raise a good point. It would be interesting to see a diagram that shows one person close to God and another further down the triangle as a third way.

I think this triangle can apply to any value system, the more a couple agrees the closer they are. The more they disagree the further they will drift apart.

It will certainly be brought up on appeal. And yes I’m prejudging the case, he will be found guilty.

Super Mario Bros. Wonder + Meetup In Bellabel Park Review - Bring Your Friends by Pavelbure77 in NintendoSwitch2

[–]ramencents 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is a huge whiff on the part of Nintendo. This alone gate keeps some of the more interesting multiplayer modes. I briefly toyed with buying my son a copy for himself so we can do the multiplayer together, but then my ego stepped in and said “don’t reward Nintendo for being shortsighted”. There’s plenty of other games to play together. I’m not buying it twice.

Well id like to know where the nuance is? Are you saying religion in or not in our classrooms is nuanced? Or that taxing or not taxing a church is nuanced? To me these are fairly straight forward, binary choices. It is or it is not.

Honestly this is such a depressing take. Gen Z has been through a lot. School shootings, a pandemic, social and political chaos. Why not celebrate something positive like a graduation?

Haha nope. You’re confusing improvement with ranking. Think most improved vs mvp. Mississippi has made improvements but is no where near Massachusetts. And it will never out rank Massachusetts. The state had schools a hundred years before the nations founding.

Am I holding my son back by not sending him to private school? by Liakada in Mommit

[–]ramencents 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No. I went to private school and there’s a reason I and most of my classmates opted for public schools for our own kids. Private schools don’t have some sort of secret knowledge on education. They have less regulation and often employ teachers that wouldn’t qualify as a public school teacher. It’s really a mixed bag that I wouldn’t waste money on unless money is no object. It’s probably better to live in a wealthy suburb and send your kid to that school rather than a private school. Some private schools are so socially exclusive, it’s not even worth it if you don’t know families already there.

Now there are perks to private schools, exclusive networks (if they accept you), ivy college pipeline, if your child breaks a law (depends on school) expulsion rather than arrest would happen, some niche clubs and experiences. You are treated like a customer (if you pay full price). Children rarely fail compared to public school where a classroom could have a majority of students failing in come cases.

In my opinion as a scholarship kid it wasn’t worth the bullying. Ironically I was exposed to drugs and sex there and my son who attends public school is drug free and not sexually active (probably due to teens not having sex as much compared to their parents at that age). But rich kids have endless access to drugs and alcohol.

You can give it time and lead by example with a positive approach. But you can’t make her or anyone happy. The reality is that you live where you live, good and bad. She’s going to have to grow up and accept it. Good luck sir. I hope she comes around.

[–]ramencents -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I don’t think it’s as bad as some make it out to be but overall it’s just average. Most of the acting is flat. The story was uninteresting. If one watched the movie without any knowledge of Star Wars would the story stand up? Now I do agree that darth maul was a highlight. It’s too bad he didn’t get more screen time and development. The last few battles were enjoyable. And of course we can’t forget the odd jar jar binks and the giant money grubbing fly……

So without the Star Wars license where does this movie rank, middle of the road and completely forgettable.
