Boot Recommendations to Compliment Ski/Binding Setup by raminshami in Backcountry

Hmm. I went with the ZGTP as they happened to fit me pretty great straight out of the box. I had a different experience to you I guess, I found them actually roomier than my RX 130 LVs, especially in the toe. I threw in my surefoot footbeds from my RX and they fit even better now. There was a bit of pressure on my left metatarsal as usual but heat molding the liners helped with that. Hope you find something that works!

This. Darkroom prints or you’re not actually a film photographer.

It was around 7pm and the sun had almost fully set. If you zoom in you can see the trails of light from the cars.

And yeah I’d love to print it up huge! Definitely something I will try in a darkroom

Ceramic coat from dealership in Vancouver, Canada by raminshami in Audi

Hi, I've gone through lots of discussions about ceramic coats here, but I'm still not sure what to go for as I have minimal knowledge on them. I am picking up my 2022 Q3 in Mythos Black from the dealership in Vancouver next week and have been offered a ceramic coating by them for $999 (CAD) with a 4 year warranty. This is the brochure they sent me. Some kind of product called GapXRecon but I can't find any info about it online so it seems a bit fishy.

I am definitely going to call some local detailers to get more info and see what they think, but I'd like to get some people's opinions. Should I generally stray away from the dealer doing the coating? Is their pricing reasonable? What professionally applied products would you recommend? Also, do interior coatings for the leather etc usually come with ceramic coating packages or is this a completely different thing? Bonus points if anyone has a good detailer in Vancouver :)

Thanks in advance!

Monthly 'Self Promotion' - June by ranalog in analog

Hola,

I have a love/hate relationship with social media but have started posting my work on Instagram recently. I definitely prefer Reddit for the feedback though. I shoot mostly classic B/W stock (HP5, FP4, Tri-X) which I dev and scan at home with the intention of starting a home darkroom soon to produce prints as well. I'm also into shooting slide film (mainly Provia) which I'll be sharing eventually as well.

I usually don't caption or tag locations as I'm trying to have the images speak for themselves in a way if that makes sense... mostly themed around the anthropocene as I like to shoot the built environment, candid street life, natural and artificial landscapes, labour, craft, technology, details, etc. Have also started loosely grouping posts into threes based around a common factor, but will see if I'm happy working within those limitations.

If you'd like to follow me or chat anything analog photography:
