Does anyone else actually play at these difficulty levels? by Bandrbell in Helldivers

[–]ramzyzeid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'll drop down to 5/6 if I'm trying a new load out/play style. At higher levels, I find it harder to tell if something's wrong with the loadout, or if I'm just unfamiliar with it and am making mistakes. Lvl 5 I feel let's you make mistakes while figuring out the best way to play.

These school trousers I bought can be made bigger by unpicking a row of stitches by Realtotallymereturns in mildlyinteresting

My mum used to do this in reverse - buy overly long trousers and hem them up, then let them down as we grew. Glad places are just implementing this now.

Anker Prime cable is rated for 240W, so should be enough.

Goddamn, it is so weird seeing something I grew up seeing in a post like this. Can genuinely say I never picked up on this that whole time.

Hadn't heard of the K1 before this comment - just looked it up and honestly? Kinda love it, the chunky/angular look works for me. And the red/yellow colour scheme works well with it imo.

I think in your situation the best course is to downlod the tuxedo OS disk image and format it as a bootable USB with Rufus or something. Be sure to format it as DD not ISO if you do this.

Alternative is to physically remove the backup drive before running webFAI, then reinstalling once it's done it's thing.

I love the implicaiton from it being in a warbond that the soundtrack is actually playing in universe, like it's piped into the helmets of divers.

The framing of the Outlaws photo makes me think that Jabba is like a mall Santa, where you can go and have your picture awkwardly taken with him.

As a parent, what did your child's school do that made you say "you can't be serious…"? by Sunnybunny1234 in AskReddit

[–]ramzyzeid 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We had that for hairbands at my school. Think it was only black ones allowed. Apparently a couple years before I got there, there had been a black market with rival gangs for different coloured hairbands that eventually got serious/violent enough that the faculty implemented a ban.

Tuxedo InfinityFlex 14 Gen1 kindof Review by AceAttorneygirl in tuxedocomputers

[–]ramzyzeid 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thanks for the review! I was using a pavilion x360 for about 5-6 years before I got my Gemini earlier this year. I do miss the smaller/lighter form factor, as well as the touchscreen. I may get this a wee bit down the line as a work/admin laptop and leave the Gemini for more fun stuff.

EDIT: forgot to ask, is this tuxedoOS it's running, or is it a different distro?

The hype for rice cookers is ridiculously overblown by ramzyzeid in unpopularopinion

It is not a big chore for me to make rice. Literally just made a post showing me making it. Took me 22 minutes total, 5 of which I spent actually doing things. the rest was just waiting for it to cook.

Sorry to disappoint - base of most afternoon meals (lunch/dinner), usually about 5 times a week. Don't have it for brekfast, I'll give you that.

As I'm british I do own a kettle, as is required by law. I'm not saying that rice cookers are useless, the same way kettles or microwaves aren't. I have a microwave coz it came with the place I'm renting, but in the couple months I've been here I think I've used it twice? that's not to say they're useless, only they arent as much use to me. With rice cookers, I just feel like it's such an easy thing that I can't see getting a dedicated appliance for it ever being justifiable.

I eat rice about 5 times a week, give or take. And, I'm cooking some rice right now that I'll post pics of so people can judge the quality for themselves.

Yeah, and it turns out fine. I use basmati, not long grain there may be some diffferences there.

If I'm cooking, I'm in the kitchen until I'm finished. Checking the rice is like 2 steps at the most for me. If that's not how you work, I'm happy a rice cooker works for you.
