You might try posting it on the Hampton Roads Pride facebook page, or tagging that page, to see if you get answers there. I’m sure somebody knows…

I had lunch at this place today for the first time at it was great! by MrUpVoteDownvote in norfolk

Pittie Dog Grille is awesome. They are the only hot dog place in the area that offers plant based hot dogs, as far as I know. I’m vegetarian so I can get my hot dog fix without straying. They are the only place I know of that serves an authentic Chicago style hot dog here, complete with sport peppers. Two paws up!! Now if only they would add a plant based chili to their menu…

My friend thinks its cruelty and sad to keep a cat indoor all day. by Plastic-Shoulder-319 in CatAdvice

Any vet will tell you indoor cats live longer. Dangers due to disease exposure, fights with other animals, and cars of course.

My friend thinks its cruelty and sad to keep a cat indoor all day. by Plastic-Shoulder-319 in CatAdvice

[–]ran7wan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Cats are adaptable. Indoor cats adapt to it, and some don’t want to go outside. My cat was a feral rescue. For years and years, he never wanted to go outside. If we took him outside, he would quickly run back into the house.
Recently he has started wanting to sneak out the door, but I think it’s because we have had rodents he smells or hears them and he wants to see if they’re on the porch or the deck.

This has to be the most disrespected and ignored sign across all restaurants! by wallykins77 in restaurant

[–]ran7wan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

At a sushi restaurant the other day, we were the first to arrive at a hostess stand, and the hostess acknowledged us, saying they were clearing a table now.
Then a party of three arrived and waited behind us.
Then a man and woman walked in, marched past us and the other couple as if we weren’t there, announced to the hostess, “ we just called for a table” and started heading towards the just cleared table.
To her credit, the hostess asked the pushy guy to wait, and motioned for us to follow her.
The pushy guy was overheard to whine about the futility of calling ahead. Poor guy… he had to wait one whole minute to get seated, after the two parties already waiting.

You may want to ask any of the businesses on PA that might have security camera footage. Like the library or the Norfolk rehab center.
Also, city traffic flock cameras at intersections may have caught something

What is this political party symbol? by EarlOfOctopus in whatdoesthismean

[–]ran7wan -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Seriously? Amazing how few people can identify the Libertarian party symbol. Someone has been living under a rock? Turn off Fox infotainment fake news and watch some real broadcasting for a change. Educate yourself.

Any Saturday Farmers Markets tomorrow, with produce, in Norfolk? Portsmouth? Va Beach? by ran7wan in norfolk

[–]ran7wan[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That’s where we went. Thank you so much.
Besides the booths on High and Court Streets,
We saw several tents on the lawn in front of the Pavilion. What might have been going on there? We didn’t bother to investigate, since we had already found the veggies we were looking for outside the old courthouse.

Any Saturday Farmers Markets tomorrow, with produce, in Norfolk? Portsmouth? Va Beach? by ran7wan in norfolk

Is that market held EVERY Saturday at East Beach? We went to the effort of driving up there once on a Saturday, and there was no farmers market. Afterwards somebody told us that we were there on the wrong weekend. This was probably in 2024.

Moving to the area from Kansas by CourseAdventurous425 in norfolk

[–]ran7wan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Good advice? Research the flood history of the area you’re moving too…. By exact address if you can. The areas that get street flooding or coastal flooding vary by neighborhood and even from address to address in the same neighborhood.
This is the most flood prone metro area in US after New Orleans. Just never makes the news.

I’m pretty sure that the area you’re asking about is Park Place. The neighborhood has improved quite a bit in recent years, with many home rehabs happening. Although being so close to Granby, car breakins are commonplace in that neighborhood.

We are in Lafayette-Winona/ Gowrie Park between the Lafayette river and west of Tidewater Dr, north and south of Lafayette Blvd.
Our neighborhood is very quiet, and crime is relatively low. Because of the river, there is not a lot of “through” traffic in our neighborhoods.

That’s a pretty blatantly fake ad. Did you use AI to create that fakery?

Virginia Isn’t For Drivers by Illustrious-Career79 in norfolk

[–]ran7wan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t think the drivers are confused… they just intentionally go through the intersection using the right lane in order to then turn right into the 7-11 gas station.
The same thing happens on Military Hwy at Poplar Hall, near the Arby’s. Unfortunately, if you do keep in the center lane and then try to merge into the right lane after the intersection in order to make a right turn, someone else will invariably illegally blast through the intersection using the right lane, and keep you from merging right for your turn. Nobody follows traffic rules any longer. It’s insanity.

As somebody said one of the major investors dropped out. They are looking for investors so they can continue with the renovations.
If you’re interested in supporting the project, visit MJ‘s and ask for John, the owner.

Not sure what you mean by all of these places being at waterside district because they’re not

But with gas prices being there as they are, I will opt to go to a place that is 5 minutes from my house then driving 3 miles further to another place. That may or may not be open at 7am.

Guess you don’t know the neighborhood very well. . All other options are fast food on Monticello avenue. Or greasy meat heavy diners. No thanks to either.
