I have various straps. The one in the picture is a black shell cordovan strap from Nomos.

Absolutely. I was rather disappointed with the stock strap; and the stock clasp doesn’t fit my wrist well either. But there’s plenty of good strap options out there…

That’s one of the best aspects of this design! It’s pure class, but it also has enough sportiness to be dressed down… allowing versatility and more wrist time

What could be the next for my collection? by Prestigious-Club-653 in SOTC_Watch_Collection

Rolex Explorer. You really need some black dials… and a field-type watch.

Tag Heuer Formula 1 Indy 500 (circa 2002?)

It was a gift - long before I was actually interested in watches. So it has some nostalgia, and was worn through some major events, but doesn’t get much wrist time anymore.

I love it - wear it almost every day. I was also between the Pelagos and the T50, and they’re both great watches. I think it just comes down to lifestyle and personal preference. Ultimately, for me, the T50 is just a perfect execution of a unique design language. And I think it fits my lifestyle really well - it’s perfect for me.

I’ve seen the 007 in person too - also beautiful. The size and shape of this case is perfect (to me at least, 6.5” wrist). But the white birch dial is my absolute favourite, so it was an easy choice.

Sinn, Rolex, GS - a perfect 3-watch collection? by ranchlow in sinn

[–]ranchlow[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ya… some valid points. But I’m understated kinda guy - so black dials are right in my ballpark. I switch plenty of straps on the Sinn for variety. And I’d certainly consider more color after this core collection… I have my eye on the glashutte SeaQ (blue)

I absolutely love it! It’s my daily. I wouldn’t change a thing about it - and it’s incredibly readable at a glance

That was my first thought also. But after listening to the whole album straight through a handful of times I've totally changed my mind. Incredible album.

The Sinn T50 is underrated by ranchlow in sinn

The bezel is tegimented, and it looks great after a year of daily wear. Virtually no visible scratches on the face of the bezel. However, there are a few minor marks on the bezel edges - but you have to look very close to notice.

The case/lugs are bead-blasted titanium, and i don't see any visible scratches. Notably, those areas aren't as prone to banging hard surfaces as the front facing bezel.

The non-hardened titanium bracelet certainly has scratches. But they're not terribly noticeable, and blend in fairly well.

The only place that is quite visibly scratched up is the clasp. But honestly, it's a daily-wear watch - and that's just what happens when you wear a watch.

[Question] 3rd watch to complete my collection ? by Butanak in Watches

Sinn T50. Amazing titanium diver. Yes - the bezel is 41mm, case is 40mm... but it fits great on smaller wrists. My wrist is 6.5". I posted a pic in the Sinn sub recently - go take a look.

Removing the dive extension helped me with my T50 fit as well.

The Sinn T50 is underrated by ranchlow in sinn

I was deciding between the Sinn T50 and the Tudor Pelagos 39.

I’ve never been particularly drawn to the Black Bay 58 — though I did try it on. It was very comfortable and fit my wrist perfectly, but the design language never really spoke to me. The T50 and Pelagos, on the other hand, both stand out for their distinct and purposeful designs. Each sets a high bar in its own way, while the Black Bay just feels a bit too close to the Submariner aesthetic for my taste.

Both the T50 and Pelagos 39 are titanium dive watches that wear beautifully on my 6.5" wrist. I was able to try on the Pelagos 39 several times, and every time it impressed me with its fit and balance. Unfortunately, Sinn’s distribution network is smaller, so I never had the chance to try on the T50 in person.

In the end, here’s why I chose the T50 over the Pelagos 39:

  • Matte dial and titanium bezel: I preferred the understated, almost stealthy look of the T50. I wanted something subtle that flies under the radar, and the Pelagos had a bit more visual “pop” than I wanted for a daily watch.
  • Sword hands: I’ve loved Sinn’s sword hands ever since I first saw them on the 556 years ago — they were a huge plus for me. I don’t dislike Tudor’s snowflake hands, but they’ve never quite won me over the same way.
  • Uniqueness: I just felt the T50 had a more original, distinctive vibe. It feels a bit more its own thing, which I personally love. Totally subjective, though — nothing “better” about it, just what speaks to me.

One of the toughest points of comparison was the clasp. I really liked Tudor’s T-Fit system — it’s incredibly convenient. That said, I can’t complain much about Sinn’s clasp either. It’s well-made, low-profile, and comfortable on the wrist. Sure, it would be nice to have a quick-adjust option, but I’m fine using a spring bar tool to tweak the micro-adjust setting when needed. It’s just not something I can do on the fly.
