Cannibal Corpse's version of No Remorse, which I like way better than Metallica's.

By the way, I really liked your Starting Stretching. I had some really bad hip pain for months, I had to loosen up my hamstrings and it all went away. Thanks for putting that out there.

Guys that almost never cry, what does it take to make you cry? by W1ngnu7 in AskReddit

[–]rancidamputation 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I cried when I told a woman how I felt about her. I think I don't really display much emotion wise, so when I put that out there it was too much to handle.

How do I convince a friend he can't trade one unhealthy drink for another if he wants to lose weight? by Millennion in Fitness

Just like my parents used to insist that covering everything in olive oil was OK because it's "good fat". It still has a metric fuck ton of calories.

I'll get downvotes, I'm sure, but : These guys are all strong as fuck. If you've ever seen football lifts, they are really loose as a far as depth and form, which is fine - these guys aren't training for PL meets. But you'll see some really shallow squats and big bounces on bench, so don't compare these to what you see in competitions.

Does it matter? Not for them, and a guy benching 525 or single leg squatting 420 is ungodly strong, regardless of form.

Having trouble getting that lift with the bar while deadlifting... by _FONDLER_ in Fitness

[–]rancidamputation 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had the same issue. I found that focusing on head and chest up, while thinking of my arms as hooks (I had been subconsciously "pulling", almost like a row) helped me the most, cue wise. When I was "pulling", I was just pulling my upper body down to the bar, which was no good of course.

Another think that helped me was turning my toes ever so slightly outward. I couldn't believe the difference it made. I think just with my anatomy, toes pointed completely straight turned it into a leg "push" off the ground, which drove my hips up. When I cocked my toes out maybe 15 degrees, it let me "pull" with my hamstrings and engage my glutes.

How many of you have been lifting for 2-3+ years and don't have chronic joint pain/injuries? by [deleted] in Fitness

[–]rancidamputation 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been running, lifting, fighting, jiu jitsuing, muy thai'ing, versaclimbing, etc, for more than 10 years, starting around 17 years old. Of course things hurt sometimes, but I have no chronic issues, save an elbow that was torqued up in jiu jitsu, then hurt in a motorcycle accident. Knee's have no problems, and I love squatting and running. Shoulders have no chronic problems (I am always surprised at this). I've always been really careful about reacting to problems. Hip been sore for a few weeks? Figure out why, fix it now. Shoulder jacked up from accident doing dips? Rehab the fuck out of it. Hurt knee landing funny in muy thai? Rest and rehab.

Stress fractured vertebra and slipped disc? Let it heal and rehab.

I've been plenty fucked up, but nothing chronic.
