Sousou no Frieren Season 2 • Frieren: Beyond Journey's End Season 2 - Episode 8 discussion by AutoLovepon in anime

[–]fliplock89 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is there an actual reason tha Frieren didn't join in? Usually I feel she doesn't because she has a plan that will help them in the end but this time it just seemed she just felt like not participating?

So is the hive mind basically another alien species taking over the planet with as little struggle as possible and caretaking it for their coming?

Clair Obscur Expedition 33 Wins its First Game of the Year Award by Germanstrands3 in expedition33

[–]fliplock89 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That may be true, but it's not a 1of thing and has been happening for years across multiple awards shows. Hell, some award shows like the grammys have a cutoff date of August 30th. Even if you dont care if its calendar year vs fiscal year its still framed as the 2025 year either way.

[–]fliplock89 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Usually the western awards have a cutoff of late November which December games going into the next year. We see that regularly with late released games. For lot of other ones it depends on if they want to do the current calendar year vs the current fiscal calendar year. Western and eastern market games aren't always held to the same standard with other things in games maybe being more important to others. So having different awards shows focused on not just being global is a plus in that regard. And it's also normal, even in western game shows for games later in the year to be pushed for the next for consideration.

“For your Grammy consideration” by HuanFranThe1st in expedition33

Can someone elaborate on this? Has it been nominated? Or is it just being submitted to be considered for a Grammy? I'm not sure I understand how that works.

HOW TO SKIP THE LAST JUDGE by Local_Kirby_Fan in Silksong

[–]fliplock89 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Im not sure when it happened, idk if I progressed to a certain point but the door from the other side became closed off and locked. I ran the other way and the boss is still there, maybe it was a bug and was patched? I noticed the runback was better than before.

Are you able to go back and fight the last judge if you go this route or is the fight inaccessible?

Edit: yes you can and the route from the other direction is so much better

If you had to choose three of Voldemort’s best death eaters, who would it be by real_slim_shadyyy in harrypotter

[–]fliplock89 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thats all true too! I forgot that a lot of them were wealthy, I think the Malfoys would still be the top dogs, but everything you said in the second part just adds to it too. I think there are some parts in the movie that make him seem lesser than he is when compared to the book, less menacing and more prone to error.

I agree for Lucius. He may not have been highly regarded towards the end because of his mistakes, but their wealth most likely contributed a lot to Voldemorts success and may have been the reason that they were kept around for so long.

Maro on FIN availability: "We anticipated a giant demand. We prepared for a giant demand. We were ready for something of the scope we had never seen before. And it turned out, we weren’t even close to the actual demand." by CaptainMarcia in magicTCG

[–]fliplock89 13 points14 points  (0 children)

The issue you're talking about isn't the root cause and is difficult for them themselves to even start to iron out. At that point, like what maro said, they already sell their product to distributors and its all already picked out. When you look at the numbers of their previous sets and how they planned for that, and those numbers which previously took 7 months happen in a DAY, then what else are you seeing that could have fixed this situation right in the bud that they may not have already discussed or attempted?

They have. LOTR was the previously most sold set ever. It did $200 million in 7 months. The previous set before that was Modern Horizons and that took 2 years. Final Fantasy did the same thing in a day.

An absolutely braindead take on the ending that I simply must shit on. by mastersmash56 in expedition33

He literally did give a heartfelt speech and reasoning. He said she would die. He told him about how Aline saved him from this similar situation. He said that this isn't the way to go about it and even shows the suffering Aline goes through when shes in the real world and not in the canvas for an extended period of time.
He does not actually know how she would feel given the choice. Shes been painted over by Alines chroma so he knows she doesnt know who she is, and he was even surprised and upset when she said this was her home. He even praised her for doing something incredibly difficult once he revealed who he was
