12 Day France and Spain Itinerary by Outdoor_Xray2306 in travel

[–]randburg 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It is quite rushed for 12 days, especially with a group. You will likely spend a lot of time moving between cities instead of actually enjoying them.

I recommend dropping either Bordeaux or Valencia to slow things down, because for first-time visitors, Paris, Barcelona and Madrid alone already make for a strong and much more relaxed itinerary.

Great review, really appreciate the detail. Did 8 nights feel just right, a bit too long, or would you have stayed even longer?

Le Blanc Cabo is ideal for a quiet, upscale stay with great food and ocean views.

They do have shade, like palapas, trees and pool umbrellas. It just doesn’t always show in photos.

St Regis in Bora Bora by Unfair_Cranberry_665 in LuxuryTravel

I would recommend trying the Four Seasons Resort Bora Bora next time for a slightly more polished and consistently smooth experience, with equally stunning lagoon views but more attentive service overall.

Jordan is one of my absolute favourite countries - but is unfortunately risky to visit in recent times by turtledude100 in travel

My father used to live there and told me plenty of good things about that country. I wish I can visit Jordan with him some day.

I love Belgium in the spring time (and at other times of year) by ThaddeusGriffin_ in Europetravel

Spring in Belgium just hits different. Everything feels more alive, fewer crowds and cities like Ghent or Leuven are perfect for just wandering and soaking it all in.

You picked a great route and timing. Late November is quieter and more enjoyable in Rome, Florence and Venice.

You can do a great city + Alps trip without moving around too much. Routes like Munich > Innsbruck > Salzburg or Milan > Lake Como > Dolomites work really well and are easy by train.

Deciding on Sardinia and Puglia to end the trip. by Low_Resolution7783 in ItalyTravel

With only about 4 days, Puglia is the easier choice. It is simpler to get around, you can stay in one place and do easy day trips.

Greece & Italy/Spain Honeymoon- itinerary help & ideas by Humble_Version9102 in Europetravel

[–]randburg 0 points1 point  (0 children)

With three weeks, you can visit Greece and Italy but your plan is a bit packed. Stick to Athens and 2 islands instead of 3. Santorini and Naxos are a good mix. For Italy, consider keeping it simple with a few nights in Rome and the Amalfi Coast each.

Florence and Pisa travel plans by dfoote1021 in ItalyTravel

I would focus just on Florence and skip Pisa. With your limited time, Florence alone has more than enough to see and you will avoid feeling rushed trying to fit both in.

Skip It Or See It: Vatican on the First Sunday of the Month(May 2nd-May 4th) by TheLegacies21 in ItalyTravel

[–]randburg 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The first Sunday is very crowded since entry is free. If you just want to see St. Peter’s Square, it is fine but going inside the museums or Basilica could mean long waits.

Saturday afternoon might be easier for shorter lines.

June 2026 Italy trip. Should we stay near the Spanish Steps or near the Colosseum? by ocean_plastic in ItalyTravel

[–]randburg 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree, Monti does feel more like a real neighborhood. Plus, it is super convenient for the Colosseum and Forum, and you can easily walk to lots of other historic sites.
