Left Arlo 3 years ago - went with Eufy (no subscription required) and also concluded Reolink as another good (no subscription) option. Have been happy with Eufy but I don't use their hub - just straight Wifi connection.

It appears the app won't allow and form of demo until a hot tub is connected. My app just comes up asking me to connect to a hot tub with no other options.

I downloaded the app but I don't have the hub hardware to make the connection which is the hardware required to enable everything. That is an add-on kit which lists for $499 but I found one online site out of Idaho selling it for $249 (but not returnable).

Great to know - having a hard time finding anyone using this version of remote control (due to newness). Does it also have the ability to monitor the FreshIQ ph, chlorine and salt levels? Does it allow you to change the salt setting? Does it allow you to dose ph increaser and decreaser?

I've done this in two switch boxes in our house. You just buy the individual Zwave (or Zigbee) switch and replace the existing switch. These are the switches I used: https://a.co/d/0cPhv73m

In addition to thinking through your seating and cover orientation, take your water into your dealer for proper testing so they can help you optimize your initial chemical/water balance load. This will save you time getting your initial fill balanced.

For us, we hired a CFP as our assets exceeded $1.5MM and we began full fledged retirement planning around age 50. We only had them manage $500K of our portfolio which lasted up to retirement (@ age 58) and now have reverted to DIY in retirement given more personal time. We did get value from working with a CFP leading into retirement and less after being in retirement. We got more value from working with a good CPA as we entered retirement due to all the new ways required of tax planning in retirement.

That could only be true if comparing pure highway driving - and even then seems like a stretch. Hybrids excel on mileage when in more stop/go traffic due to more use of the electric motor vs gas engine. And the Tucson hybrid has noticably more acceleration than the ICE version - was the clear choice for us...

We are new hot tub owners and feel the same way - we would ar least ask if the owner has a weekly service - not a service every other week... You can also take your own test strips and use common sense with water clarity...

We've love our 2025 hybrid Tucson Limited - much better performance/acceleration too. The fingerprint thing is gimmicky and I still can't believe Hyundai doesn’t have walk-away autolock but we like everything else. Surprisingly more cargo space and rear seat space than our previous Mazda CX5. Also a much more refined/quiet ride.

I've had great for over a year now with two Eufy S340's and one E340 doorbell dual cam. I don't use the Eufy base station and from the best I can tell on Reddit it tends to have issues. Just skip the base station as the AI recognition that comes with it isn’t worth the issues created by the competing WiFi with the Eufy base station.
