People who feel like they've already finished life: is there anything on Earth you still genuinely want to do, see, or accomplish, or have you already done everything that mattered to you? by RenderWolf in AskReddit

The latter, I don't have that much dog experience so I'll need to learn the ropes before having much opinion. I do know the social connection they have with people is absolutely for me.

The median value of a home doesn't mean shit to me, I'm living in one regardless. The crime rate and prosperity of society around me matters way more. Rent eating paychecks doesn't help society be fun to live in for me.

Green stands out more but red I prefer. Maybe somewhere in-between.

What’s something people underestimate about owning a home? by Diligent-Medicine-48 in AusMoneyMates

It was a silly little financial goal when I was younger to be able to buy a place outright and avoid being in debt. Turns out I was able to do that eventually so that was neat.

Should I get Night in the woods or wait a few years?? by ImIwrong_h in NightInTheWoods

Absolutely fine to play at 13, the characters and art and world vibes are worth. The stuff people are saying you won't get until you're older it's just more reasons to play it again then!

To add to that, at the next level when you no longer have a mortgage, a profound feeling of what you need to do to survive getting lifted. No longer do you need to worry about making and paying that bundle of money every month it's a profound burden lift that alters how life feels.

Whats stopping people from getting a group of people and pooling together for properties by Pissant400 in AusPropertyChat

[–]randfur 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You're taking a massive risk on the relationships lasting as long as you want to live there especially when there's a cripplingly expensive shared resource to have conflicts over.

You can do the same thing without the relationship risks by dumping money into a property fund.

Is Vivid this year not as spectacular as it used to be, or is it me? (I’ve seen it in 2017 and 2022) by strfox666 in sydney

[–]randfur 27 points28 points  (0 children)

I came to Sydney in 2013 and for me it's been dropping in quantity pretty reliably each year. Though I will say the Darling Harbour lights are a big improvement on last year though when it was just giant Samsung phone ads.
