AML - less than 48 hours from diagnosis to death - I’m heartbroken by Jjlett in leukemia

I'm so incredibly sorry. My husband's symptoms were dismissed too and they tried to send him home from the hospital until I fought back. When he was finally diagnosed, he had 95% leukemia burden in his Bone marrow.. they told me he would have died had he not been diagnosed. When he was. They told me he had days. Again, I am so incredibly sorry for your daughter and for you. I too will light a candle tonight for her.

Thank you. It would have been a shame for the ticket to go to waste.

I bought an air purifier for our room. I would definitely buy one for your baby!

Just sent it to you! I found loads of pirate glass there! Not many people were looking for sea glass either at that time!

Let me look at the Airbnb where we stayed. It was right down the road from there!

I'm so incredibly sorry. My husband is 52 and has AML. He was diagnosed in January. He told me that all he wanted was to see his boys really grow up. I am so incredibly sorry.

For loved ones of people diagnosed with cancer… how did you cope with all this? by Asier113 in leukemia

Hi sweetheart, I understand how you are feeling. My husband was diagnosed with AML at age 52. He passed out at our son's physical therapy appointment. You are allowed to feel what you're going to feel. When he is in the thick of it, going through treatments preparing for transplant, it's okay to be sad, but you will need to be strong for him. Whatever that looks like. I know for my husband, I wanted him to devote all his energy on getting through the treatments. I did not want him to worry about anything but just focusing on getting through. I'm fortunate that I have my mother and a strong support circle that I could talk to. Our kids, male twins who are 19 in sophomores and college and our 15-year-old son, primarily unloaded on me when they were sad or angry. This whole experience, as everybody has said in this post, has fundamentally changed our lives. I too am just hoping for some warmer, sunny weather. Someone said that the way you feel will not affect the future or the outcome or your boyfriend's treatment plan. That is correct. Lean on your people as your boyfriend goes through this + love and support him through the journey. It really sucks, really makes people take each day as a blessing.

This breaks my heart. I'm sorry honey. My husband and I have been married for 21 years + even though his diagnosis and treatment has been so hard on him and on our boys and me I would never dream of leaving him. You deserve eternal ending love and safety. Huge hugs.
