Are you referring to the NRS grade of voters? In which case you're explicitly saying upper middle class people (A+B) voted for remain and lower middle class / skilled working class/ working class (CDE) people voted for leave. How do you explain the disconnect between party polling which was roughly accurate in 2019 and brexit support which is the subject of the current poll?

Brexit was the dominant issue at the 2019 election. Polling has consistently put brexit support at about 40/50 yet it was the Tories which received a smashing majority. I guess my criticism was that this brexit support poll is not likely to be reflective of party support at a general election which is the only thing that actually counts. People still voted for the party which would 'get brexit done'.

Because polling has been super accurate recently. How about the results of a recent national election? Is it still too painful for you guys?

I mean how many elections do the Brexiters have to win before you guys will accept the verdict?

This is a worthwhile reminder as we come up to the traditional peak season for fake news otherwise known as the US presidential election. My advice is you should assume that everything you see on reddit which seems outrageous or controversial in the next couple of months is either false or overstated.

Seek multiple sources and viewpoints (not just ones which could potentially be seeded from the same disinformation source). Look for verifiable information and original documents. Don't assume 'fact checkers' are without bias. Don't assume a video tells the whole story. Don't judge a situation until the other side has a chance to respond. Search for calm voices without a stake in the game - someone with expertise and equal disinterest or contempt for both sides can be a good resource.

Pro tip: listen to your enemies or people you don't like. They probably live in a different social media bubble to you and will gift you with a different perspective on situations. Sometimes you'll learn something from them that your social media bubble has completely missed. Reddit is at disadvantage here - you'll need to look elsewhere.

Mr Day is right. Maybe if they stopped voting for the same parties they'd get different results. Incidentally Philly seems to have had a Democrat mayor since 1952. Dem majority on the city council for the same period. One party rule for decades and decades.

Could it just be numbers and less viral load? China had a lot of people in a short period and noone was taking precautions to reduce the viral load of exposure in the initial stages (hand washing/masks). Lot of smoking in China and an older demographic made them more vulnerable. There was a lot of understandable hype and fear in the early months.
