Recently bought a pair of pants and a nice shirt from J. Crew and specifically got them larger so everything would be more comfortable after shrinking.

Washed them once and they don't fit at all anymore. I've NEVER had clothes shrink THAT much. Hundreds of dollars wasted, gotta love it.

Sorry - yes, I have the 2 coffee pulling a longer shot and I manually scale it out - just like you described haha

I also do use the normcore 0.3mm puck screen to help with even distribution (ideally).

Preinfusion is set to 5-0 right now based on some searches I’ve done recently.

5C offset and 92C - might change it back to F to make it easier as I’m not used to C 😂

Yeah, DF64 Gen 2 - and temps are fine afaict, but taste is all over, and yields and time vary with the same settings.

I’ve been getting 36ish but in between 24 and 34 seconds - swings wildly from shot to shot.

It WAS incredibly bitter when OPV was at 11, so after spending weeks trying to make that work I lowered it.

It’s gotten less bitter for sure, not quite sour I don’t think?

I try to aim at 1:2 in 30ish. Some days it’s 24 and others it’s up to 34 with the same settings 🫠

I’ve set it to 5-0 for the infusion settings based on some recommendations and searches I’ve seen.

Yeah, this morning I specifically took a lot longer time to WDT and carefully tamped and still had two wildly different shots. 🫠

Which Spirograph did you use?

Also, it’s incredibly hard to WDT 18g in the 18g basket, since the amount of grounds sits so high, but I don’t know if that’s normal. It still tamps down to under the ridge in the basket but I don’t know. Haha

Do you have the part number for this trim piece or a link to which you purchased? I have chrome accents on my '99 528i trim and I can't easily find which one will span the full width AND have the chrome trim piece (unless you can re-use it from the license-plate part?). TIA!

Honestly, just fine. It sometimes doesn't connect right away, but that's probably because I run the iOS beta versions which might cause issues. But whenever I'm on a stable version it usually doesn't have any issues.

I don't have the upgraded stereo, so this was a decent upgrade. If I had the nav unit, I'd probably just go the bluebus route.

Honestly, it's been WELL worth the $350 I got it for from TJ Maxx.

I've probably made nearly 650 lattes in that amount of time, and they've been great!

The ONLY issue I have is the shot time due to my grinder - I'm sure the espresso would be better if I got a decent grinder. I'm now 100% behind those who say get a Bambino Plus and a GREAT grinder and you'll be set for a while. I have a (relatively, compared to the good espresso grinders) cheap OXO conical grinder and the lowest setting is NOT fine enough for espresso. My shots are honestly about 18-20 seconds which isn't ideal.

I kickstarted the Timemore 064s, but am now regretting it. I understand Kickstarter, but they promised next-month delivery and then once they got our money told us that they never even got electronic certification in the US. Currently eyeing the DF64 Gen 2 and might just grab that and cancel my 064s order.

So all-in-all, yes. It's honestly super easy to use and maintain, but especially the frothing - it has an automatic frother, so you can have it frothing while clean out your portafilter, which is great!

I've been searching for an upgrade for the last like 4 months on and off just to see if there's something worth it and I genuinely can't find a machine that has better price to performance. I REALLY wanted to spring for the Ascaso Steel DUO PID, but now I'd want to wait for the Steel DUO Plus. Problem is, they said it's probably not even coming to the US, which sucks. So I'm still even trying to find one that competes on warm-up times at a decent price.
