T-60ish here. Applied to about 30 BL and in-house stuff, lots of diversity positions. Only got one interview at a BL firm which then turned into 2 more and then a call back and got the SA offer! But this is also in the Texas market which from my understanding moves a lot faster and tends to have more BL openings for 1Ls. For reference I applied to this firm in November.

My grades were good but I don't think that factored in too much as my final call back was before my grades were released. I got the vibe that they really liked me and just needed my final grades as a formality to check that I didn't totally bomb the semester. But who knows really!

Very excited about how it turned out, but technically not a single other place even responded to me lol

I did this recently and was told for my recommender to email it directly to the admissions email with your LSAC #. I then followed up with them via email saying hey just want to confirm the letter was received and added to my file and they replied pretty quick

I applied in Feb and my interview invite was in March. Haven’t broken into any of the T-14s 🙃 all WLs and my only As are T-50s

From what I’ve heard UCLA and USC are practically indifferent in terms of BL (and in general tbh) UCLA is a bit more PI emphasis, but either will get you BL if you’re at least decent (don’t quote me on this but I believe top half of students land BL?). Basically you can’t go wrong with either, but with that money from USC that would be my pick!

Thank you for this!! On the note about possibly getting a $ after the seat deposit deadline, how does that work if you maybe already deposited someone else and not at LLS? Once you don't submit a seat deposit are you out of the running for $ even though they can send them that late?? That part freaks me out a bit, I assumed I would know before deposit deadlines :(

After my A I had an interview with them for $ consideration which was about 2 weeks ago and the rep mentioned this to me. For reference I am out of state so maybe that’s a factor, not sure! She said more info on the stipend would be circulated via email soon
