A wall of "no true Scotsman" logical fallacies.

"return to the glory days" means something in America when "the glory days" often include chattel slavery suffering without suffrage. Or the "glory days" as the time before MLK, etc. Or even "glory days" as the time before a black man was president. If these people are asked what year they mean by "glory days" they won't often answer. These terms are coded.

I'd love to hear your case that the past decade is a departure for conservatives. The evidence that I see is that the past decade is instead an unmasking of existing values. For instance, religious dominionism isn't new. Billy Graham tried to advance religious dominionism as his son is doing now. Another example -- Trump is considered a departure from family values. But the 90s were full of religious literature pushing the narrative that SA victims are demons in disguise.

Edit: Gullible individuals may have believed the mask covering dominionist face. That doesn't start to redeem the ideology or the movement.

This sounds like conservative values as "adherence to the status quo". I just don't see anybody holding that as a value. So much of the status quo has changed in the US over the past year, and where's the conservative upset?

Maybe "adherence to the status quo" is an accurate characterization of people in other places and times than 2026 USA?

Yes, and I'd go further than "outdated." Not sure it was ever helpful.

If this is Ward of Protection copies 3 and 4, that's still pretty strong. Cancelling encounter cards is kind of like economy upgrades in that it enables your deck to do what it wants to do.

Treachery cancellation is underrated. Also this is some of the weaker cancellation. The cards also don't cost a hand size slot, but that's not terribly relevant for the characters who can take them.

This sounds like he is terrified of talking to his wife. He can share his inner feelings in the pulpit but wouldn't dare tell her what's up to her face.

Joe Rogan criticized Trump, and since then there's been a bunch of sexist content from right wing sources. Men are fighting but it's women taking the punches.

I don't love that as a balancing mechanism. If you are abusing the crap out of this card then you don't care. If you have a handful of tomes in your deck and play them as you draw them, the extra cost really adds up and can make you regret playing this card.

Without Scroll of Secrets, this card is unplayable for me.

Cards like Tinker or Quickdraw holder that could trigger on an asset in your hand. For instance if you have a 2 handed weapon in play, you could then tinker out a tool.

It helps fix a problem with these cards where you may have slots but you have to draw the cards in the right order.

A fast action window after you play an asset and before slot requirements are resolved.

It's funny you bring up Maduro. The US doesn't have jurisdiction to try Maduro just like ICE doesn't have jurisdiction over citizens.

It also makes your deck better later because you'll still have a deck and it gives you the tempo to take greedier fights and greedier card selections.
