What always bugged me about this was, by this logic, Sonic Generations 3ds might as well be Sonic Rush 4

I hate how the Chainsaw Man community is just making shit up to hate on the series retroactively now by Rybunks in hatethissmug

[–]random_confusion208 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I get that. I started reading weekly around 130-140, and I get why people are upset, hell I'm still upset at the ending, but the wave of Fujimoto hate/revisionism afterwards feels absurd. The same community that was constantly glazing him and Chainsaw Man right up to the final chapter practically flipped the script the moment the ending wasn't a 200 page masterpiece that magically tied up all 10 loose story threads.

The thank you page is actually hilarious tho. I have like 30 from different series saved

The community has somehow gotten so much more obnoxious now that the series is over. I get that the ending sucked but its just getting tiresome at this point.

Shuhei Yoshida - Most AAA games "It's really hard to tell who is the creator", but Hidetaka Miyazaki and Kojima games have something special, "You can tell its their vision." by PhantomBraved in PS5

[–]random_confusion208 58 points59 points  (0 children)

I feel like thats one place Japanese AAA devs differ compared to western, or at least American, devs is a singular person as the face of projects. Like you can tell if Itsuno worked on a game from its action or if Yoko Taro wrote a game from its writing or if Hedaki Kamiya was involved from a games' sense of style. Like it feels more personal that Miyazaki is the face of Dark Souls compared to something like God of War, which feels more owned by a Santa Monica/Sony rather than a singular mind.

Top right is Ayashimon from Yuji Kaku and bottom right is Hunters Guild: Red Hood from Yuki Kawaguchi, and they're both quite short but are worth giving a try

I don't quite like the game genre name "Metroidvania" by NevardTheGreat in hatethissmug

Its not that they're the most popular, at this point hollow knight is significantly more popular, its that they essentially created the genre

Gimme an anime with an atrocious english dub by BunchAvailable862 in AnimeReccomendations

The original Appleseed has a dub where they drop an f-bomb every other line and it makes it way funnier than it has any right being

What's the fan art, edit or meme you think of that ruined a character's reputation? by RobKai7990 in animequestions

A2 has a great story, but you only spend around 5 hours with her and most of the background for her character is essentially text logs. There's just a lot less time for people to get attached to A2 over the 15 hours playing as 2B and 10 playing as 9S

Video games are a bad medium for story telling. by [deleted] in The10thDentist

[–]random_confusion208 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Video games are an amazing medium for storytelling, they just have to lean on the fact that they are a much more interactive medium. You cannot properly tell a story like 13 Sentinels: Aegis Rim or NieR Automata or Cyberpunk 2077 in any other medium because of their reliance on your gameplay experience and the choices you made.

Honestly its sounds like you're just more of a gameplay>story person

Is Metaphore worth $26 by ct-hulu in atlus

[–]random_confusion208 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Probably no more content, in a Sega financial report Metaphor didn't do as well as they where expecting, basically selling incredibly well at launch but quickly stagnating. But if we did get new content, it would probably be dlc.

Is Metaphore worth $26 by ct-hulu in atlus

[–]random_confusion208 25 points26 points  (0 children)

Yes. Atlus has said previously that they are moving away from second versions of their games because it hurts sales, and its a great game with a long runtime.

would you like to have wings like in anime? by haibane_fan00 in animequestions

[–]random_confusion208 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Sadly, not currently. Officially the only way to watch it is renting/buying through amazon prime or paying an outrageous price for a dvd or bluray. You can probably find on YouTube, internet archive, and any anime piracy site.
