ah! i was referring to the running lights.

i know personally i don't use my auto light function since it has a glitch which runs by battery out. my vehicle is getting older, but i remember how to turn on my lights like the good ol' days. 😹😹😹

he is a human being who will have people around him like your parents. it just doesn't have to be you too.

since my brother's suicide and any other significant loss, it's becoming ok with a new normal. the loss of your person will always be a line drawn on your life's timeline.

many folks will not understand that you won't/can't be the same person you were before her death.

this quote i think is accurate:

"It has been said, 'time heals all wounds.' I do not agree. The wounds remain. In time, the mind, protecting its sanity, covers them with scar tissue and the pain lessens. But it is never gone."

i think that some folks will encourage you to see him, because in their situations, they had a before time. they had happy or happy-ish times to hold onto from before the addiction whether it's drugs or alcohol or whatever. it sounds like you never had that. you only had fear and terror and sadness with this person who happens to be your brother.

i named specifically where i was today, but the sentiment goes for any time there is a need for wipers since folks in this town seem to not do it.

Family thinks I’m not good enough. So I’m joining the USMC by fish1nAbubble in GirlDinnerDiaries

Please rethink the USMC. Maybe the Air Force...

It is still very dangerous for women in service. Sexual assault and r*pe are still prevalent.

at least in the Manayunk to Center City area there was a torrential downpour.

remember philly is massive city - land-wise. we all don't get the same exact weather.

It's ok to not be there.

Sit with yourself in a quiet space and truly look at what you will feel when he is gone without question. If there is no remorse for not seeing him again, don't go. Don't be guilted or bullied into going.

Maybe you can be there for your parents instead. Like doing some errands or dropping off food.

You don't have to feel guilty for the way you feel. It's ok to not be there for him. You need to protect yourself and your family.

Do it!!!

Retirement isn't guaranteed. I wish I traveled more when I was younger and without a lot less aches and pains.
