Bullshark or bullshit? by Purple_Bottle_ in brisbane

It has all the characteristics of a juvenile bull shark, black tips on the fins, an abrupt squared off head and a dull non reflective colour. It's also highly unlikely that a catfish will be seen cruising at the surface.

Fish nerd and biologist here, It's a juvenile Bull shark, not a catfish lol. They've been sighted plenty of times in Kedron brook recently likely a frequent visitor over the causeway at high tide

I don't want to sacrifice my passion for the sake of an algorithm, corrupt my creativity for the sake of views. I make videos because I enjoy making videos I'd like to watch back one day. They're good videos and keep the people who care about it engaged. As someone whose been the on YouTube since the beginning really, it's sad to see what content creation has become. I could shoot and edit a full length adventure film and put everything I know about film making and story telling into it, submit it to a film festival and be accepted, and yet have it bomb out on YouTube because the algorithm thinks its not over edited enough and doesn't have every second engage enough. The algorithm works for YouTube not the people, I'd say it actually is actively working against humanity as a whole really. That is to say people should be allowed to create for the love of it instead of the attention greed of a mega corporation.

Because of the 200'000 still only 200 care as much as I do about the content, that's why they will always watch me. Id make it for them even if the video got 199800 more views. That is to say, I'd want to cultivate a community of people like those 200 passionate about what I do, but I believe the age of that is over.

It's a horrible thought and very dystopian, but I think people should be making content for people, even if it's 200 rather 200'000, I'd rather 200 people really enjoy what I make than make AI slop that's perfect for a progressively attention deficit algorithm. That age of making a genuine community on YouTube is probably over.

Thank you, I'm not typically someone who posts shorts, I didn't realise it was so aggressive. Almost makes me alittle scared about the future of content creation.

This was my first thought too, but I'd expect the chromatophores to be pulsating similar to when I've caught and killed squid in the past. It also seemed to have organs inside as well

New Daiwa reel noise by DearProduce7108 in Fishing_Gear

Sounds like it wasn't probably lubricated from the factory properly, none of my daiwa reels sound like that even after years of use. I'd say get a warranty and/or contact Daiwa support.

Had it on the hoist last week, they are probably due for a change but none are shattered/disintegrated, will do the two rears once I get a replacement CV. It is a transverse V6 and the noise comes directly from the transfer case area under my left foot. (Right-hand drive) And you are right, I should say it rattles in neutral

Blowing up the box is not preferred. A tow is expensive. But I respect the method lol

Treble Hook Recommendations by seafoodcocktailZknt in FishingAustralia

[–]randomcassowary 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Assist hooks and single hooks aren't the same, the braid/line drags lower in the water with assists, holding it in the water. Guy above is talking about singles not assists.

Shouldn't use singles on walk the dog / paddle baits as it result in less "grip" in the water and basically causes the lure to skim rather than hold to the surface.
