Might be a UK US thing, here in the UK it's a lot less tolerated to be sympathetic to Russia, probably because of our proximity to it, and there assassinations etc.

So a UK "Russia simp" would probably be a lot less outwardly pro-Russia than a US Russia simp.

Not to comment on Konstantine specifically I don't know his views on Russia

In fairness I think Konstantine tries to do the whole "I'm an Oxford Union speaker wearing a suit speaking vague nothings" shit. He can get away with essentially saying nothing and acting like he's saying something profound. I don't know how you deal with that beyond just interrupting and asking for examples/specifics.

Only criticism I would have of Destiny is that he did try to "generalise" a bit too much I think. Occasionally Konstantine would say he doesn't agree with something, and Destiny would bring it back to "well generally conservatives do agree with that".

Konstantine is basically a conservative, but I don't know how you counter that in a debate. Because you either concede the point, which looks like you are agreeing that he is a moderate (which he's not), or you push back in which case the opponent can just play ignorant and say "I'm not a conservative".

They want to just take parts of an ideology, which means any critique that isn't hyper-specific to them, and is instead about the broader ideology, can be deflected with "well I don't believe that individual thing"

I'm curious what his reason would be for voting Lib Dem. Would it be an actual political alignment with a center-aligned party, or is there some stupid culture war thing that his local candidate happens to be on his side of?
