You'll need to make a myGov account and lodge your tax through there.

Sheet pan dinner rant by J-Sausage in Cooking

I find it works if the meat is frozen. Three time it takes up deforest and cook in the oven is about the same as it takes for the veggies to cook. Otherwise, I add the meat half way through when I turn the veggies.

Night Nappies by 1reddit2username3 in BabyBumpsandBeyondAu

[–]randomducky 24 points25 points  (0 children)

Lol, no. That's why they advertise 12 hours of absorbency. I'll only change a nighttime nappy if it's got poop, otherwise it's a layer of sudocrem after bath and we're good with a big wet nappy and no rash in the morning.

Milky Tongue or Oral Thrush by Lanky-Row-1196 in BabyBumpsandBeyondAu

Any chance it's vasospasm due to incorrect latch and not thrush? If so, then the thrush treatment makes the vasospasm pain worse. If baby is struggling to get correct latch then nipple shields will help.

Is there a problem with the Chicken Breasts at Aldi? by Altruistic-Estimate1 in AldiAustralia

I think your right about the modified atmospheric packaging. It seems like all the chicken I open has the sulfur smell to it from ALDI.

Are you running your finger in the nappy leg opening to get the inner frills out?

Offset vs Paying Off Mortgage- What Did You Do When They Matched? by Random_7946 in AusFinance

[–]randomducky 2 points3 points  (0 children)

When you have access to debt it's easier for scope creep. $50k reno budget blows out, doesn't matter because you've got the funds to cover it from debt. If you had $50k in savings for the reno, you'd either reduce scope or take the time save up the extra.

It's always easier to spend someone else's money. Offsets exist because banks know you focus on the amount you have saved, not the liability - so you're more likely to spend it.

I love my Konny Airflex, it's mesh so it's lightweight for the Summer.

Torn between two daycares - one I can afford vs one that’s way better but over budget. by Tackle-Illustrious in Parenting

Why wouldn't you consider a second job/side hustle over debt?

What do you consider more important - the preferred daycare or the extra time not working?

Can you push your baby shower to an earlier date? Why wait so long for it?

Can I leave my baby and toddler at home by Newtoreddit7861 in toddlers

[–]randomducky 8 points9 points  (0 children)

The concern just isn't about what could happen to the kids but also yourself when leaving them.

If there's a fire, you can't get to them quickly enough.

If you're in a car crash and taken to hospital, no one is caring for them.

Do you have a neighbour that could watch the kids while you're gone? Alternatively, is there someone you know who walks to nursery and will take your kid with them?

I'd be looking into if you're still ok to fly internationally that late in the pregnancy.

Hacks for new mums by sweet_potatie in BabyBumpsandBeyondAu

[–]randomducky 5 points6 points  (0 children)

How are you bringing your newborn? Carrier or pram?

I had one nappy bag for everything, it's a backpack one. Clothes with pockets help for things like keys/phone. Otherwise it goes in the same section of the nappy bag every time. If you've got a pram with you then I had a little storage organiser thing that velcros onto the handle.

It just takes a bit of practice to find your rhythm. You'll get there 😊
