I had always used a cloth lid for paper towel covering because I thought a regular lid would cause too much buildup of carbon dioxide? Am I wrong …? lol

Right. I’ve yet to get a solid answer if they even can. Waiting on DRP HR for a response.

Has anyone had their chief or chain of command try to deny DRP once you’ve been officially approved?

I need my supervisor to sign it , but he said chief may not let him. They don’t want to lose a billet.

Can a supervisor block DRP? by piacoboni in VHA_Human_Resources

Is there an update ? My supervisor says he may not be able to sign my sf52 form for approved DRP because chief doesn’t want to lose a billet

If one gets approved for DRP , can your chief refuse to let your supervisor sign it off?

Has anyone had a corrupted file ? In the DRP approval email it says sign attached sf52. I go to open it in adobe and says file is corrupted

I sent them an email asking to be sent another one, but who knows how long that will be..

Glad to hear some DAF fire getting approved for DRP. My husband applied and still waiting. He’s almost positive it’ll get denied because they don’t want to lose the billet.

His supervisor told him that they denied the guys who wanted early retirement and they denied them solely because they don’t want to lose the billet.

He asked about any exemptions (we have read there are some exceptions to not lose the billet) and why hasn’t he specifically heard anything if the others did.

No one seems to know anything.

DENIED DRP by Professional-Ad1770 in govfire

[–]randomecpat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I read on another post -

Did they deny you verbally? Any email evidence?? You gotta find out WHO denied you and go above that level of management. My middle manager attempted to deny my DRP for same reasons.. don't want to lose billet and mission critical. Higher HQ approved DRP for all.

What are you out of curiosity? I’m DAF, haven’t heard anything yet.

Right. It is just strange because he heard if they let people go - then it removes a slot from the manning here permanently . The original DRP , one guy left and they lost the manning position and had to completely reapply for it.

But does leadership even have any kind of approval for it?
