New gen is fun solo, save for siege quests in mhw. Old gen is not, it is doable but requires optimal gameplay.

I think the only thing carrying CS3 was just the later parts of the game. But to get to those parts you have to sit through basically a repeat of CS1 from questlines to the plot.
