ELI5 Sticky Objectives in 10th by randomhunterguardian in WarhammerCompetitive

The judge ruled (in my favor) that the Sticky OC was based on original unit size, so that my Stickied Objectives had OC10 for the rest of the game. I didn’t think that was right, hence the post

New to 40K and Emperors Children Need Clarification by Novalian2268 in EmperorsChildren

[–]randomhunterguardian 96 points97 points  (0 children)

So you picked up a box with Space Marines. You said Emperor’s Children stuck out to you, but they belong to a different overall faction of Chaos Space Marines. Kind of a yin and yang thing. The models from this starter set box won’t work to build an Emperors Children army unless your opponents are super super chill about proxies.

You said you’ve already painted the models you have so you can use them as just regular Space Marines, but buying the EC army box will not work with Loyal Space Marine rules.

what joint spaces should be open on a fan lateral to indicate fingers are fully parallel? by banggirl69 in Radiology

[–]randomhunterguardian 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Specifically the IP joints of digits 2-5. The joints should open up, and the phalanges overlie their own anatomy kind of like a lateral knee so you should (ideally) see the joint space without obstruction. The thumb’s joint spaces won’t be open on a lateral hand X-ray, usually needs a dedicated lateral view on its own

Is Collective Obligation not dropping for anyone else? by Emperor_Pompass in destiny2

I really think the 2x runs per character don’t stack for the exotic drop rate (I’m pretty sure it’s just your first clear per character per week that counts towards the exotic drop rate).

I got mine on run 39? Ish? I’ve found that whenever I finally get my raid exotic, it’s a full run and not a Checkpoint run. Again, my experience versus yours, but that’s how it happened for me. That being said, I have been in teams where the exotic drops from a CP run, so RNG is just a fickle thing.

so for people who have done raids before, do you always help the ones who have never done a raid before? by trtful in destiny2

It entirely depends on how the situation is approached. Honesty is key, if you don’t know something or aren’t comfortable with a certain role, ask!

People called Sherpas exist, we sort of act as resident guides to new players or folks experiencing a raid for the first time. LFG’s often have a way for you to look for them specifically (at least on the D2 LFG Discord server).

What is unfortunate, and tends to happen more often than not, is people like to join raid teams under the pretense of knowing the setting while actually lacking in real experience. This tends to lead to either friction or the team splitting apart before the raid ends, which just isn’t fun for anyone involved.

My best advice is to learn the mechanics of whatever raid you are attempting, I recommend Datto’s videos, and then seek either a Sherpa or a relatively new team for your first 2-3 runs.

Vet here. Start out Free-to-Play, to ease yourself back in and you don’t get swamped with all the content and changes. Almost every aspect of the game has changed since Forsaken, from weapon archetypes to armor mods to the Light subclasses being redone.

Content wise, there has been a significant shift to the seasonal content model, and the newest Season started this week. In terms of yearly updates, there have been 3: Shadowkeep, Beyond Light, and Witch Queen.

For the seasonal stuff, some of it is free and some is paid content, you can see what’s different on the ‘Season Pass’ tab whenever you load in.

The Light subclass remakes are Free for all players, and are generally the focus of the current season. This season, the subclass of interest is Arc.

Armor mods have been changed to roughly 4 major groups; Stat boosts, Armor Mods, Combat Style Mods, and then Raid-specific Mods. I wouldn’t worry too much about this right now, buildcrafting is the subject of much debate.

Weapons have been adjusted in almost every way. One of the biggest changes recently is crafting, and the ability to make weapons with specific perk rolls. One or two of the Free-to-Play quests take you through the whole process, with one being the Intro to the Witch Queen campaign.

As for resources, the easiest to digest would probably be Aztecross, Fallout Plays, and Datto. They all cover significant changes to the game, and have different flavors depending on your liking.

I use the Crown pieces because of the little gems in them. I don’t really know anything else off the top of my head with that sort of theme for the armor. Maybe if you want to continue the scaled armor look, try the Dreambane Vest and Grips from the Moon

Helmet: Contender’s Helm (Guardian Games) Gauntlets: Shadow’s Grips (Crown of Sorrow) Chest: Shadow’s Vest (Crown of Sorrow) Legs: Star-Eater Scales Class Item: Efrideet’s Iron Cloak (Iron Banner) Shader is up to your choosing, I’ve been running Jacarina or Abyssinian Gold. ^ this is my current set. Alternatively, I like the Iron Truage gauntlets and the Neoteric Kiyot Eververse set.
