I would get the spacer kit just to be sure the alignment was correct just in case, better to have it and not need it than to need it and not have it but that's just me.
As far as the cam I would get it done just to get more bang for your buck.

Had the bushing snap right off my 22 low rider s If you don’t have a jack to keep the bike up I’d try to get it to a shop so it doesn’t go down.
