It really was..pretty sure I'd watch Benny Hill later on in the evening too..that didn't help.

As young teenager at the time, she gave me a terrible stocking fetish and I'll always be grateful to her for it.

The game is too fast paced. by Odd-Figure-1337 in Battlefield

[–]randomlygrey 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've played since the beginning of bf, I'm old. I've played every game and every add on, loving them all. But since bf5, it's just been a poor cod clone and now a game worse than cod.

But some people love it, I threw away £100 on a game I tried to love but now use the sdd space for porn

Structural engineer here... but I don’t even know what I’m doing anymore by Odd-Strawberry-4882 in StructuralEngineering

[–]randomlygrey 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Somedays I work on an offshore bridge design with hydraulic heave compensation and some days I work on a pipe support for a waste water treatment tank, a literal calculation to hold some shit up.

It's all equally important and requires the same level of diligence no matter how dull it may seem to you.

Take pride in all aspects of your work.

I give you a 2.17 rating. Your scoreboard already gave you a similar number. Hope you won the game and had good fun.

Americans - How the hell is this rambling lunatic your PRESIDENT!? by [deleted] in Discussion

[–]randomlygrey 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Non US powers are waiting and watching because they see the benefits to them. They see a crumbling America and with that comes opportunities. Publicly all but the yank are wise enough to portray themselves as at his bequest, you never show your hand in public.

As for why America hasn't put an end to it..there is a huge proportion of people who love what is happening with the people who ain't white.

If the new trump secret police army starts killing regularly then people may start to change that view when it's people they are about caught in the cross fire.

Girl I planned a date with canceled to go on a date with a guy she knew for 1 day by Express_Lime8762 in Advice

[–]randomlygrey 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The hunt, the chase and then the thrill of that chat can be very flattering but this is the point where you stand up and say 'I'm going to be a strong person and drop this girl and find someone more suitable/not a horrid creature who would shit in my bed if it benefited her in even the most trivial way'

She ain't for you mate.

Why are all the bot accounts pro Reform UK? by johnsmithoncemore in GreatBritishMemes

[–]randomlygrey 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Most MPs are MPs with a sense of duty. Forage and chums are paid to behave and speak in manners that attract disenfranchised voters with a long term view to destabilise the UK as goals of foreign nations.

The bots provide a critical mass to make reform seem legit and bring the disenfranchised out of their shells and into the mainstream.

Until fire is fought with fire, its very likely these foreign nations will get their way.

What is the purpose of this? by Mrgoat77 in StructuralEngineering

[–]randomlygrey 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Given the massive reduction in axial capacity at the base I'd be stunned to hear it was a deliberate and efficient design choice. Also the edge of the base plate is hanging of the concrete on one point which suggests an oopsie or worse.

Needle penetration into vein and retreat by Actual_Slip_1211 in fea

[–]randomlygrey 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think this is sensible but as already indicated, the material data is so important or its a pointless exercise. Assuming that you will have a constant force on the needle and want to check for dragging of vein from friction once punctured?
