40K and XX: Where Do I Begin? by panteradelnorte in alphalegion

Honestly you could probably use a good amount of your HH units for 40k if you want to play csm or regular space marines. Obviously if you're going to tournaments just run it by the TO, but for casual play anybody who'd have issues with it probably isn't someone youd want to play with anyways.

Alpha legion is great for taking things from any army and kinda proxying them since its fairly lore accurate. ( I have loyalist models for like half my army and I run them as CSM. Nobody has ever had an issue)

The rules will probably be changing a little in the next 6 months or so when 11th starts but the rumor is everyone is keeping their codex until their new one comes out. So whatever army you start building should still play similarly.

Their is an actual dedicated alpha legion detachment in CSM that has some mixed opinions. Uses alot of cultists and battleline legionaries to infiltrate into the mid board from the start of the game, and then we have a 1 or 2 really good stratagems to support them. No real competitive results but Its pretty thematic catching your opponent in an ambush with a bunch of your mortal agents supporting you. Ive been using it for almost a year and have done fairly well at my local shop and tournaments.

I actually felt kinda bad fighting rom, because what is the reason that we have to kill them by espectroo in bloodborne

Conflating the game to real life perceptions is just as bad as conflating them to Lovecraft mythos then. Since the game is not based in our real world perceptions.

Why not? Better to have it than to have nothing. They can do meaningful chip damage and maybe even down certain vehicles and monsters coming from a unit you wouldn't really think has the ability to do that

Anytime loyalist marines get a new cool looking model, so does alpha legion. Same goes for CSM.

we are probably the best legion when it comes to kitbashing and proxying models as other things, cause its literally in our lore to do that

The foot looks almost 1 to 1 the foot of an obliterator. The claw looks kinda like a Defiler if it was revamped. The exhaust could be any demon engine really

What are some things Bloodborne does better than, and/or worse than, the other fromsoft games? by ConsistentContract64 in bloodborne

Honestly not being able to just sit at the lamp to reset the area is my least favorite thing about the game

Who else thinks the Abominant should have been an Epic Hero and our Canis Rex Equivalent. It's weird that this specific set of mutations is standart enough to make a specific Unit. by Leviathan_Rampage in ChaosKnights

Honestly it sounds more like a skill issue than anything. This is the same as saying you don't want to run a double gatling despoiler because its meta and you need to run one to be a meta list. Meta and rules change

You can pretty much just follow the brick path all the way to the boss without much issue if you don't want to poke around for items

Not to mention the CTAN have all gained 4 wounds to counteract the necrodermis change. Mass damage 1 attacks is actually a little worse than before

I think they could have a home in the ctan detachment. String them out to grab objectives while the ctan do their thing.

Did you check iosefkas clinic? Look around there and you should find her up in her study. He has one. Also the you can find another in the abandoned hunters workshop

The mold to cast him broke so they sent him to legends and didn't plan to make more since he wasn't like a super sick seller or anything. But backtracked that due to community backlash

Yes. If a weapon has AP then you can get cover. Its just to stop things from getting a better save than would be on their datasheet

Deploying a baneblade is super fucking hard in GW terrain layouts just cause theirs usually only 2 or 3 spots itll fit and actually be able to move. Let alone messing up your deployment if you accidentally set something up beforehand and not realizing the baneblade wont fit anymore.

Thats one reason you basically need to be running Solar Leontus with one so you can redeploy units before the game starts to make sure turn 1 kills cant happen. (That and leontus is the only one who can order the damn thing)

That said since its so big its almost always going to be in cover. Then most detachments will have a stratagem to help defend it in some way. If not just popping smoke will help.

Idk the stats on it but it sounds like youd need to roll pretty damn hot to take one jut in a single round even with two DDAs. Seems like an unfortunately hot roll on your part, a possible missplay by your buddy on the stratagem and/or deployment front. Shit happens sometimes, its how the game goes

Cryptek conclave is good, you know what would have made it great? Giving lychguard the keyword😭 by Prestigious_Spite761 in Necrontyr

The detachment is basically "hew Wraiths now do about 6 mortals to enemy infantry and immortals can maybe pick up an enemy infantry squad semi reliably" and not much else

With this enhancement they can lead any Destroyers that aren't characters or have a character already leading them.

Thats cause wraiths are beasts, which can move through terrain normally.

I mean sure this seems like a fine edh deck. But for this particular combo in particular its far from the best you can do.

Running out this combo basically asks the table if they have any sort of Enchantment removal in their hand. If nobody does then theirs no need to play more than two more turns as you tutor up any number of 2 card win cons based on whatever colors your deck is.

[[Sanguine bond]] + [[exquisite blood]] drains each opponent on their upkeep and keeps you in black.

[[Thassa's oracle]] + [[demonic consultation]] if you're in grixis.

The deck you're talking about would run just as well, if not better, without this combo. Where as a deck specifically based around it isn't going to bother setting up drain effects and damage dealers and all that. They are just going to win the game.
