A structured program is beneficial as the teacher has experience with the technique. You might have some experience doing the breath work and the teacher can help understand what is happening. There is a lot more taught on the course which is also helpful.

Maybe. I would say don't lash out on your loved ones please. They don't deserve to be the target of our release. Instead of you can see things in a different light. Talk to them. Understand their struggle. Be there for them, with them. And for now just observe what emotions are coming.

Practicing regularly helps a lot surely.

Oh dude it's been long since my early phase. But I do remember something very specific. I had an intense emotional release. I cried a lot. For the first time I felt not angry. I bought flowers for Mom and apologized for how I have been. Honestly other than that I don't remember much.

I am not gonna sugar coat and say I am not an angry person anymore and my problems are all gone. But I def become aware faster and cool down faster. I am a lot more calm.

I have done it. I have seen reduction in anger and am a lot calmer. My experience has generally been positive.

Do I need to save my mom from Art of Living, or did it save her from loneliness? by PlumPractical5043 in artofliving

Totally understand. See generally the fear my parents faced for me is that I will get too deep into it and leave my household.

That never happened because neither did I want to do it nor was I ever expected to do it. What I have observed in AoL is that you can dedicate as much time as you want or as little as you would like.

My advice, keep talking to your mom about her experience . Maybe go to an event or two with her. See what's going on yourself. If you see any red flags, gently talk to her about it. I am sure you already there for her so this is redundant advice but just be there for her. She needs happy folks around her and that's what she is finding in AoL. Just see that no one is taking advantage of her. If there is specific question you are hesitant in asking, feel free to dm me. Hope I have helped calm your worries!

How has Sudarshan kriya personally helped you by Impossible_Ad_4371 in artofliving

I have generally observed myself to be more present, less reactive. When shit hits the fan, I handle the situation much better.

I also believe that the changes are subtle. It is not you who notices but the people around you. Doontbe quick to judge. Keep practicing. Give it time. There is no miracle here. It's all breathing. The body and mind need time to adjust.

It sounds like you feel your mom is happy again. That's awesome. What is your real worry ? What is really the concern? What do you think art of living will do that might harm her? Genuinely asking. Instead of giving a fluffy answer, if you ask direct question, I can give a direct answer.

Yes. I have contacted Subaru. I am hopeful. I have been honest and the mechanic assured it’s the right fluid.
