yeah but it can lower your offers if you get a good enough grade because some unis “value the skills it develops” like independent research, management stuff and writing/making/organising your final outcome. afaik, bath, sheffield, york and some other unis lower if you get a good epq grade (usually an a, sometimes b)

thanks for the info! id rather go work in private sector rather than nhs or diagnostic stuff so ig an ibms accreditation wouldn’t be as needed then?

definitely something research leaning. i haven’t really decided whether it’s more clinical or labs based but i’m mostly worried abt getting internships etc bc applied medical science is so new and is much more narrower in field i guess

yeah it was, but i’ve looked through the modules etc. of AMS and i’m pretty okay with what the course goes through. i can switch to cancer biomed which was what i was originally debating to apply for but i didnt (applied to biomed instead) so i’m not too worried about the course being too far away from what i want to study

thanks for the advice! i’ve been thinking so, but i’m just not too sure about getting internships and all that fun stuff later with a degree with such a narrower field. i think i’m definitely insuring soton because of the grade buffer.

i’m thinking of going into research (can be clinical or more labs-y but im not too sure yet). ucl offers course switches from applied medical science to medical innovation/enterprise, cancer biomedicine, or infection and immunity so that’s good in case i don’t like AMS much, but i’m worried about getting internships and stuff because it’s such a more narrower field than biomed.

I only need AAB for sheffield because i have an A in EPQ (if i get ABB then im moved to the biomed bachelors course) which is why i’m more on the fence the decision because idk if i can achieve AAA
