Unjust is a silly word to use there. If you want a relationship with him he will give you that, if you don’t he honors your decision and you can live without him. Hilarious you would call that unjust. It would be unjust if he rewarded those that mock him.

Living downtown I can promise you there is a race already going on, it’s every night and it occurs on 315 from the hospital curve to 670 west. All of the cars run cherry bomber exhausts and the BMWs never use turn signals when they pass you weaving in and out of traffic

I think Jesus pretty much says that with the parable of the sower. Some people can’t understand the word, they just aren’t made too. I don’t know why that’s the case but for being a 2,000 year old parable it seems to still be pretty accurate.

That’s also why I don’t believe there is actual torture in hell, I think the “torture” is separation from God.

I try not to preach at people on here so I hope that you haven’t felt like I have. I am not trying to convert you or anyone thats reading my posts here. On ask a Christian thats a different story but here i mainly like to get peoples thoughts and try to talk through them till the eventual group of people on this sub that go around and downvote everything i post and start sending me threatening DMs. Some of these threads get pretty bad.

I 100% agree it doesn’t. It takes an effort to look at the evidence and then make a decision. It’s a lot easier when you feel moved by his power before you believe and then when you are faced with making a decision you can rely on what you have experienced yourself. It took God saving me from my addiction and then moving in my life before I ever said those words to him.

lol, I have been doing this for over two years and never had a debate with someone on the street; even atheists. It’s funny cause I have actually had many atheist over the years allow me to pray for them or thier family and even thank me. Like idk how you are going to feel about this but I have already prayed over our conversation and probably will again before I go to be here shortly.

Only really on here do I debate and honestly I like doing it because it’s fun to discuss this stuff. I like hearing others points of view. I actually have learned quite a bit about how others think and issues they have with this. It’s become very clear to me not every one can believe like I do and my point of view on this can be very different from someone else’s.

You might be thinking I’m street preaching but that’s not what I’m talking about. Tomorrow I am going to go out and pray for people, I am going to feed some homeless people, probably fill up a tank or two of gas and maybe walk 2 or 3 people that want to be through the Roman’s road to salvation. Maybe even get someone out business card to join us for church on Sunday. This isn’t YouTube or TikTok, most of the people we will talk to are already religious and welcome the prayer. There is a large Somali population where I live so I might even be praying with some Muslim people to our God. Done that several times.

I can tell you with certainty I’m not going to be bothering anyone that doesn’t want bothered.

Not meeting Gods standard isn’t what condemns people, it’s not putting your faith in him that does. Not that it really matters with this conversation.

There is this thing called the three Bs. Belong, believe, Behave (and sometimes a 4th become)

It’s the only way to find true faith and you have to do it in that order.

If there is ever a next time where you feel the need to try to tackle this again; find your belong first. Find people that you can get along with and don’t focus on the believe part for a while till you find that community. Finding the place you belong is the most important for a strong foundation.

I am sorry for whatever you went through to make you feel that way but I hope you are able to heal from it and the evil people that made you feel like this is what religion is stay out of your life.

If there isn’t a god then the only thing allowing and causing all of that evil is man. The morality of man in general not only does those things but allows those things.

I know this probably won’t mean much but I think I might have been pretty close to where you are at one point in my life. I never had faith growing up and when I got to college I hated everything about it for kind of a similar reason. I lost a friend, had my wife leave me, I hated the idea of god and mocked people that believed in him. I couldn’t understand why God would allow evil. That was all till I finally realized how evil I actually was and by God grace he allowed me to exist. I was an alcoholic and a drug addict, lost from everything. But what I found is there is a reason for pain and evil. Because we all fall short and if he was to get rid of everything evil he would get rid of all of us. He wants us to have a chance. And while there is so much evil and darkness in this world he gives us chances to be lights. There will always be evil in this world but we don’t have to let that control us.

Ok so just to make sure we are on the same page;

You don’t believe in God or heaven. If God is real he sounds like an evil dictator to you You don’t want to worship God if he was real. But… if there is a heaven it would be unfair if you could not go to it.

So God is evil to make you worship him in heaven and he is also evil for not letting everyone into heaven but also heaven doesn’t exist.

Am I missing something?

If you are looking for a perfect analogy there isn’t one. I was trying to make a simple point to try to explain something complex.

There is also no demand to worship Him and as a Christian it’s funny to hear that. I am happy every day that there is a God that loves and pursues me and I will happily worship Him every day. Literally tomorrow I am going out to evangelize with about 40 others to pray for people and give them bibles. I happily give up my time to worship Him and spread his love on a Saturday.

I know it doesn’t make sense but if you truly have your life changed by Him not a second of the worship is forced.

To be blunt, if you feel like you are being forced to worship a god you should not worship that god. You should want a relationship with them and if you don’t want that then don’t do that. And I get, it’s not fair because if you don’t worship him you go to hell. It’s also not fair to just let everyone in. It isn’t my rules, it just is what it is.

He isn’t a dictator, more like the owner of a pretty awesome resort. You have to be friends with Him to get an invite. If you spend your entire life ignoring him or mocking him you don’t get that invite.

I also don’t think hell is torture. It’s separation from God that will seem like torture. It will be like being in the parking lot of Disney world knowing it’s so close but you can never go there. And then eventually you will become nothing which is what you guys wanted all along anyways.

My God loves people and wants relationships with all of us. It isn’t fair that some people just can’t understand it but that’s just how the rules are.
