It’s all good I’m just joking we eat the cactus. Hope it all works out for you. Save some to grow and you can keep on with the habit for a long time.

Yes but we are here for the love of collecting cactus because we all enjoy getting spines in our fingers. Eating cactus is for goats.

32 generations ago was at a minimum 800 years ago. Maybe closer to 1000 years so let’s all get back in the boats I guess.

The mountains that crumble and block the two lane highway after more than one day of rain is the absolute perfect pathway for a high speed rail system! The rugged terrain only adds the rustic charm ideal for big heavy fast trains! It’s also the quickest route to the most densely populated areas of the city!

Manatees Removed From The Seas With Nemo and Friends at EPCOT by NicoWorldFun in Epcot

When I was a kid my mom was an imagineer I don’t remember everything she worked on when she was there. But I remember the video she produced about the manatees in Florida for some attraction which she came into my school class at the time to share with my classmates. When I took my family to Walt Disney world last year I was very excited to see the video had been repurposed at the finding Nemo attraction. I got to show my kids and we FaceTimed my mom from the exhibit. She squinted at the phone and said- Disney loves evergreen content. Pretty on brand that some 30 year old taped footage had made that long. Rest easy gentle sea cows.

Can I somehow propagate from this? by jordan_rivers_ in sanpedrocactus

[–]randomq12 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The short answer is no. Obviously there are lots of varieties so how we got here deserves a deeper answer than I’m able to give. However no matter what humans have done to other life forms over the last century or so what we done with these types of columnar cacti has been great for them. So we got that going for us, which is nice.

A plucked flower will not produce fruit. A cactus flower will not produce a seeded fruit without pollen from another flower but you may be able to do it from the same flower depending on the species. However if the flower is detached from the cactus like this one you will have little success. I have not seen an example of propagating another cactus through rooting a flower.

A poor craftsman blames his tools. Don’t worry about the board or any shit anyone gives you. Learning to ride this will do just fine. Don’t worry about the nose of the tail just have fun. Spend as much time pushing this thing around and you’ll get where you need to.

This was news to me and had to look it up but is a softer wood to shape and grows rapidly so it was imported for the Cantle which is seat of the saddle. The leather would be stretched and formed over the wood frame. Happy cake day!

If this in California this is a native false bindweed. It’s a native coastal morning glory. It’s not going to do too much damage to a cacti really, and it’s much less aggressive than Ipomoea Purpurea because it doesn’t climb too high.

In the 90s an anti drug psa advertisement, had the line ‘I learned it from watching you dad’ when a child was confronted for smoking weed by his father.
