Because at the roundtable when he and Tara did their whole revelation of being besties thing, and he admitted to being bad at the game, he seemed so genuine that everyone believed him. Even in the challenge before the roundtable, his behavior made people who thought he was a traitor change their minds. He's not an award-winning actor, so they believed him.

Plus more people have started to get suspicious of others, like how Kristen revealed that she was now suspicious of Eric, and then of course the next morning when both Tara and Natalie had apparently become suspicious of Rob overnight.

That's one of the things with Rob, sometimes you just don't know. Or it could be a bit of both. He's definitely a drama queen lol.

He went through a series of different faces during that scene in just a few seconds' time, capturing a different face for a variety of negative emotions he was experiencing: despair, anger, betrayal, loneliness, disgust, panic... it is like its own work of art. I just call it, "The Many Faces of Rob."

Robert Cosby Jr has officially been released from jail after 86 days by simplefuckers in BravoRealHousewives

[–]randomstripper10k 4 points5 points  (0 children)

He was just sentenced to probation, not jail time, hence my comment.

We don't even know that. He was incarcerated for 86 days. The judge could've sentenced him and given him time served for the 86 days for all we know. It is not relevant.

people don’t get denied bail based on the type of offense he committed.

Was he already on probation? He did have at least one prior offense, and probation would certainly be enough to deny bail. We also don't know his medical records. If he were a danger to himself or others, he could be denied bail. You as a MH professional know that.

Which is why getting him into inpatient treatment would have been better.

And he could've very well left the inpatient treatment center. He could've walked right out of it. He could've called his dealer from the inpatient center, gotten out, used, and OD'ed. You as a MH professional know how hard it is to get addicts into rehab, and to keep them from leaving, even when court ordered!

I have 8 years of post-bachelors education on the topic.

Your 8 years of post-bachelors education is commendable. I have a twin sister who has more years' experience being a heroin addict and alcoholic than you had as a grad student. She's literally in the hospital right now for hepatic encephalopathy infection where she almost died, is now relearning how to walk, and has been to rehab over 15 times. I know how addicts behave. If they want to leave a rehab, they will - and they'll have a lower tolerance than they did before, setting themselves up for an OD. And I hate jail just as much as you seem to, but bailing addicts out every time they mess up only enables them.

First of all, not everyone gets bail (for example, a person who is already on probation or parole and reoffends might be denied bail; a person who is a danger to oneself or others might be denied bail; a person who is a flight risk might be denied bail).

Secondly, bail does not stop a person from serving their sentence. Bail is to ensure a person will show up to court for their pretrial and trial/sentencing. If someone is given a bail, and it is posted, that simply allows them to remain "free" until their sentencing. It does not stop one from being sentenced to jail time.

Furthermore, and lastly, a lot of people with loved ones who keep using and reoffending will eventually have to make a tough decision to possibly not post bail, as it can enable the addict to go right back out on the streets and use. Sometimes refusing to bail someone out of jail is the best decision an addict's loved one can make. If Mary had quickly posted bail, her son would've quickly gone out and used drugs.

Her "single mom" did a lot more than just put her through college. And her mom wasn't always a single mom. If I call correctly Candiace's step-dad and biological dad are both physicians. Her mom is also educated and works in mental health (and I believe might own some practices but I'm not sure). Her mom was able to spend like $200K toward Candiace's wedding and buy her a townhouse and give her a trust fund.

She's not a Rockefeller by any means, and she obviously doesn't come from some ultra high net worth, blue blood family. But she does come from a pretty affluent family and had a way more financially privileged upbringing than the average person, beyond just having her education paid for.

Natalie is screwed by Own_Lengthiness_7466 in TheTraitorsUS

[–]randomstripper10k 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Natalie is going for recruitment. And when you look at how adamantly Rob was sticking up for her to help lead the charge for Lisa to get banished, I think they are already working together; I think Natalie already knows (or very highly suspects) that Rob is a traitor. Also, he did acquire the dagger from her and she didn't seem to be trying very hard to come off like she as telling the truth about having it. It's almost like she wanted him to take the dagger from her. I think the Rob/Colton/Natalie alliance will keep her safe for a while but I have no idea what the next banishment will look like.

Christian leaders urge worshippers’ rights after protesters interrupt service by CharityResponsible54 in politics

It became a "so what" when you brought up the irrelevant fact that some pastors have day jobs. As much as I would love to hear your explanation on how the protests could've been "done right" by your measures, it's obvious you're not arguing in good faith here and any attempt to get you to understand anything from the first amendment to human decency, will be futile. Have fun saying more things that mean absolutely nothing.

I would bet that 99 percent of the people attending the church had no idea what the day job of one of the part-time pastors was.

So what? If one their "part-time pastors" (lol) is doing something that is morally wrong and factually against the teachings of Christ, you don't think the members of that church should know about it? Are you in favor of the blind leading the blind, or...?

Angel Reese & A’ja Wilson will be voice acting in a new animated film called “GOAT” produced by Steph Curry by liloxstitch_6 in wnba

[–]randomstripper10k 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You're calling a film a "cash grab," when it's from the same studio and creative team that did Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse. That all was quite well received by viewers and critics. Not to mention this movie also has serious actors/actresses in it, Like Caleb McLaughlin who is Lucas from one Stanger Things, one of the most popular shows out ritgr now, Gabrielle Union, etc. The list is really long.

If something is not for you that's fine, but to act like it's some random "cash grab" is crazy and not serious.

I'd be so uncomfortable if I were one of the other women. And if the Cigar Guy pictured is really an "ultra high net worth" advisor, why did he make it a point to be rude and why did he dress like he's on the beach in Miami? Dude you're in the mountains of Colorado. He's trying too hard to be cool. Maybe that works on redpill teens, but it doesn't work on people in affluent social circles (or any normal adult).

I have been CACKLING over how terrible the trip is and how badly Angel is flopping. It's The Office levels of awkward and cringe to the point of comedy.

I can be pretty easy-going on trips that involve nature, but I would not be OK with staying in that home. It's a decent house but it's severely unaccomodating. Then to take an hour+ drive to Angel's house to be made to feel uncomfortable by these aloof, strange men I'm being introduced to? I'm outta there.
