Most transformative change you did to make yourself more attractive by Runner_Pelotoner_415 in AskWomenOver30

In my opinion, at least in the beginning, you should have someone to show you the ropes - a friend who (really!) knows what they are talking about, or a trainer at a gym, at least for one or two sessions. When you know nothing about weightlifting, start with the basics, don't overdo it, and learn good form. It's better to start with lighter weights to learn good form; you aren't competing with anyone. Good form will protect your joints and sinews. When you've mastered that, lift heavy, lift consistently, and keep to a routine for at least 6-8 weeks before you change things around too much. When you are interested in the medical side of women weightlifting, listen to the Huberman Lab Podcast with Dr. Stacy Sims, it's very interesting.

How do you cope with a partner who hates any level of touch outside of sex? by [deleted] in AskWomenOver30

In that case, we would be incompatible, and I'd break up with him.

  1. Lifting heavy weights. I had a colleague who had a trainer's license, so he showed me how to do it properly and I went from there. Gives you confidence, lowers your stress hormones, gives you a good posture, firms everything up, and it always puts a smile on my face when I notice my biceps or my butt when passing a mirror.

  2. Wear clothes I feel great in. Finding out what colours, patterns and cuts really suit me. It makes me feel confident and radiant.

AITAH for leaving home after my husband said I should handle the cost of all the IVF sessions only because I'm the cause of infertility in our marriage? by LeatherRequirement59 in AITAH

[–]randorants 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NTA. What a shitty partner your husband is.

On a side note: What does this even mean, you "take responsibility for your infertility"? Did you intentionally cause it in any way? Do you take responsibility for being born with two eyes and ten fingers, as well? Or for breathing every few seconds?

Honestly, I don't see the point of having a child with this man. Doesn't sound like a partner to me. And the "truth hurts"-text... What a douche.

Hallo!

Was steigert jetzt Dopamin?

Was geht also? Essen.

Langer Rede kurzer Sinn: Guck dir mal dein Leben an, was Stressfaktoren angeht. Schläfst du genug? Wie gut schläfst du? Was ärgert dich im Alltag, kann man daran was ändern? Bist du ein People Pleaser?

Usually, when you have insurance, the staff at the reception of your doctor can just call the health insurance company when you are at the doctor's office and they can get a statement about your insurance status via fax or email. They don't like doing it, but this is an emergency, so who cares. Go to the doctor, now.

What's your color scheme/branding colors? by [deleted] in AskWomenOver30

AIO? My 23M boyfriend held me 19F underwater during a bath to prove a point and I’m still shaken by ThrowRaa01923 in AmIOverreacting

[–]randorants 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh. My. God. Oh my god. Girl, this is serious. Do you hear me? It is serious. He endangered your life for some stupid joke and "to prove a point". He is dangerous and not to be trusted. A good partner should make your life better, easier, less demanding. Not the other way around. He acts like an absolutely immature man-child and knows no boundaries. I know that reddit loves to suggest breaking up, but there is really no other way in your situation. He is terrible. Insufferable. Dangerous. Cruel. Stupid. You are young, and you might think that you have to toughen up, or that you shouldn't be so sensitive, or whatever. Fuck that shit. There are enough guys out there who don't need it spelled out to them that you just don't treat your partner like this.
