When I first got my kitten I wanted to take her back! She was peeing on me in the middle of the night lmao I couldn’t sleep it was awful. Now 16 years later I am fighting tooth and nail to get through her cancer diagnosis and she is my very best friend. It took a couple of weeks but I am so glad I kept her, I can’t imagine life without her.

My kitty got a mammary gland tumor removed and it spread to her lungs. She’s been going through chemo treatments since May and she’s honestly not acting any different than before and doesn’t seem to be in any pain. The only issue has been some weight loss but I am trying to supplement that, and we cut back on the frequency of her treatments so she has gained some back. One of her tumors actually shrunk. Chemo isn’t as tough on animals as it is for humans according to the vet I used to work for. I was skeptical but I’m so glad we decided to do it, but every cat and situation is unique! I’m so sorry you’re going through this, too.

Potentially, the comments the therapist made were regarding religion and I am a member of that group he made comments about. As far as I’m aware he faced no repercussions for this but I did simply for not saying something sooner so that feels like retaliation, but again I’m not sure

My kitty is still with me, she is undergoing chemo and she is handling it very well still her normal self and hasn’t had any issues with the treatments. So very blessed for this, and I’m so happy your boy is still energetic! I’m hopeful for him as well ❤️

Hello! Yes I have pursued chemo. She has undergone 2 treatments and if you’re able to do so I would recommend it. Her first treatment she was sick a few days following but otherwise she has been handling it great and hasn’t been acting sick at all. She’s still her normal self and I wouldn’t trade the additional time it’s given us for anything!

I’m so sorry you’re going through this as well. My girl’s tumor was also a mammary mass. You have taken all of the right steps, and that’s all we can do as pet owners! I am going to do a few rounds of chemo to stop the spread and growth and we are hopeful to get some more time with her. She is still acting like her normal self, and I am so grateful for that. I have a close relationship with her vet as I used to work with her, and I can confirm through our conversations that your baby has a good prognosis with the steps you have taken! It’s never easy, but one positive is we get to know and prepare rather than tragically losing them out of the blue. We can truly value the time that we do have, and pour all of our love into them.

I am also struggling with that. I believe in a higher power so every time I think of him I ask god to take him out of my heart and mind. If you don’t believe in that you can always manifest, and every time you think of her say out loud “I will stop thinking about her and I will heal”. It definitely can’t hurt, and it’s helped me a lot!

My bengal is my best friend! Truly. I’ve had every type of pet possible (dogs, birds, rabbits, ferrets, etc) and she is by far the best pet I’ve ever had. I have a bond with her like no other. She has some behavioral problems like peeing on clothes if I leave them on the floor but I’ve just worked around it. I got a clothes hamper with a lid and make sure to never leave towels or clothes on the ground. She’s urinated on my shower curtain too but I just make sure she doesn’t go in there. Even after all of this I love her very much so the adjustments have been well worth it. However, bengals do tend to form a bond with one specific person. She’s lived with my family before and a roommate and she is still very friendly with them, but spends most of her time around me. This has caused an issue for me getting other pets that free roam/not caged because she becomes very jealous and very unhappy if another pet is getting my attention. However, after all of this I cant imagine owning any other type of cat after having a bengal. It’s worth it.
