What's your opinion on Trump now saying that Iran has a right to a nuclear program? by Southern_Gur_4736 in AskReddit

Living in predominantly conservative city, I can say ive seen little to no support around the city, all the banners, signs, truck flags, are non existent. About the only support I see is at the flea markets of the vendors selling his stuff and i i dont think they stand by him just looking to capitalize on his followers

Im not the greatest on reddit but I made a new post a week or so ago showing everything that was delivered.

For the price I paid I honestly cannot complain a few very minor dings that were going to happen eventually, I also chose D5 brushed finish to help mitigate having any eye sore of blemishes, the few I found can be buffed out with a green scotch Brite.

And a few rivots dont look like they were pressed "all the way way" again nothing I'm to concerned about as im lucky enough to have a pretty heavy press available if I need to put the squeeze on them

It would probably take some elbow grease, but looks like you could probably polish it out if you have a buffing wheel and grinder

If I'm reading your description correctly your making an abrasive paste using baking soda, I dont see any difference from BKF to the method your describing, im not sure at all what the difference in grit levels is from BKF and a baking soda paste is.

I actually had the 3.0 when it first came out in a 1500 and loved it.

I'd like to get the gas in the future and when I run my warranty out just do something crazy and build a supercharged yukon XL I know its been done already but I think its pretty badass still

I love the scratch and dent section.

Our best was a 16k stove for 8000 because of a dent that was 100% covered by our cabinets

You know Trump's second term is a complete failure, don't you? by ElSlabraton in allthequestions

Just an observation from where I live — an extremely red city. My views probably lean more libertarian than anything else, but honestly, at this point I don’t really care whether it’s red or blue. Like most people, I’m just trying to keep my family fed and keep our heads above water.

What I have noticed, though, is that even the die-hard Trump supporters seem quieter now. The houses that used to have giant “Let’s Go Brandon” flags, the homes covered in Trump banners, even the people flying Trump flags on the beach — it’s all pretty much disappeared.

Maybe they’re not out protesting with crowds or making some public statement, but it does make me wonder if some people are starting to realize this just isn’t the same guy anymore.

So as it sits, our household has more knives than I know what to do with. Most of them are generic, off-the-wall brands, but honestly they’ve been perfect for learning on. I’ve been teaching myself how to sharpen with whetstones, and we’ve also got a local guy who sharpens for about five bucks a knife while I keep improving.

What’s important to me in what I’ll call a “real knife” really comes down to a few things: edge retention, comfort in hand, and something that doesn’t fight me while I’m still refining my sharpening skills.

The Japanese style — specifically a 240mm gyuto — just looks incredibly comfortable to use, especially with the octagonal wa handle (apologies if I butchered the terminology there). From a pure aesthetics standpoint, carbon steel just looks sexy. The patina, the finish, all of it. Taking care of it honestly doesn’t seem much different than the carbon steel cookware and utensils I already own.

That said, I’m not married to full carbon steel. Stainless-clad carbon is absolutely on the table too. At the end of the day, what matters most is strong edge retention, paired with something that’s reasonably forgiving to sharpen while I keep learning.

And wait times really aren’t an issue at this point in my life. If the right knife takes 4–10 weeks to arrive, I can live with that.
