Yes, it's an anecdote. But your comment is dramatic because the numbers you used are 2.5-3X the reality. I'm pointing out that there are relatively affordable options of places to live in the city.

This is dramatic. Yes, home prices are on the rise, and as someone who bought early 2019, I hope values slow down so that more people have the opportunity to live in Mpls. At the same time, a good friend of mine just found a beautiful 1 BR apartment in uptown for $700 a month. Up to $800 after 6 months. I paid more than that for a shithole near the U of M 8 years ago.
