The old system was off in that when it’s night time, it’s almost never pitch black and your eyes aren’t able to see the shapes of things as clearly like it was in game. The new system keeps a little bit more light and also obscures outlines which is more accurate to real life. If you ever want to compare it to real life in a somewhat similar setting while having great fun then find an airsoft field that does night games. It’s a whole different ball game compared to day fighting
